Are we okay to drone the place ?
Hello! Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, drones are not permitted on the Badlands property. For more information, please visit: www.heritagetrust.on.ca/properties/cheltenham-badlands
Hi, Wondering if I could send you a link or pics of our current restoration. I'd love to hear your opinion on it's style. Thanks
I am so intrigued: Having grown-up in Detroit in the 50s/60s and remembering our trips to Dresden, taking my grandmother (2nd generation US) to visit or to weddings of our Canadian cousins who all lived on farms. I recall having seen a sign at a road intersection indicating "To Uncle Toms Cabin". I am honored that my ancestors would have known Rev Josiah Henson - Family link Chandler & Cook.
Of course thats whats on the plaques
I Mr. Flanders Gentleman. not even My. Father have not arrived on this.. tinny Planet My Father is that. a big. naughty. Boy
What a great achievement in honor of my Ancestor Reverend Josiah Henson. Thanks
Kya baat bhai tu to dher hi gareeb hai
How many of the Dresden properties are still owned by those black families? It sounds like many of them sold off their properties and relocated by the early 1900s.
Mr pattison!!!!! i hope you get to teach me in 8th
I felt a heavy negative presence here and began to ache, both my head and stomach durring the quantum body lecture, afterwards I was sick for 3 three days. I wish I knew this place was haunted beforehand 🤨 maybe I need to strengthen my energetic field. 💗
So proud of you. U r a wonderful soul. Keep up the good work. Hussein.
The music of Faso is an inexhaustible source of sweetness. It allows us to plunge deep inside ourselves and at the same time resonate with our fellow man, Yé Lassina Coulibaly
In two years, it is interesting that this is the only comment.
Had this guy as a Science teacher in Grades 7-8, I still remember making my chair project and having to carry my friends all the way to his house. He knows what hes talking about, great teacher, an amazing leader and a great role model. And hes still teaching at ICRPS. And he’ll probably inspire other people like he did with me and my soon graduating friends he also taught. Nothing but respect for this guy! I also have no clue where me or my friends chairs are all these years later… Doesn’t matter someone will probably find it in 1000 years
I’m related to Mary Fulford! How exciting!!! What a beautiful home.
Well-made video! Thanks for the introduction

How about confronting anti white racism to?? Its done freely on national television
Glad I ran into this video, thanks for all the work you guys do!
It is so important to document and celebrate the contributions of ALL Canadians. My family and I look forward to visiting some of these areas and viewing the plaques.
What a beautiful theatre!
Farming had nothing to do with those formations. This video shows nothing of the geology that formed these badlands.
Your lovely video is unlisted, meaning people will never find this organically.
There’s def someone in Elgin

A great explanation for the change of the Museum’s name.
Wow what a wonderful story well done Steven
We destroyed it so we are protecting what we destroyed from destruction. Got it.
Hi i love the life of Josiah Henson i even donated the book A Key To Uncle Tom's Cabin to Uncle Tom's Cabin Historic Site i sure my name is still there i also have a rare photo of his grave from the 1940's
Correction: Josiah earned the money for his freedom by preaching between his owner's and his owner's brother's farms, and his owner added an extra 0 to the $100 worth of work on the contract for his freedom so instead of owing his owner $100 worth of work he owed $1000.
No thanks!
I didn’t hear of Uncle Tom in my school books
Any idea where "the north star: finding the black mecca" is available? I'd love to buy a dvd/bluray, but I'd happily stream it, if that's my only option
Hey there! You can watch the documentary on CBC Gem: gem.cbc.ca/media/absolutely-canadian/s21e13
@@HeritageOntario Awesome, thanks
Anyone hear from the Office Ladies podcast..? :P
ME!!!! XD
A little beyond my reach but I would like to visit there someday!
Great video! There is a small sample of this type of land south of Meaford, ON. Very interesting!
Great presentation!
Do you feel that Canada is more racist now than it was 25 years ago?
I'm in awe of the condition of the pews and the artifacts shown here. All these years, I've lived in Dresden and have never seen the inside of this church. TY for this video!
So informative and beautifully done. Thank you.
My Mom would have been so excited to see this.
Thank you for introducing my ancestor to the world!
I spent decades visiting and playing on that shale. Despite the fact that these new measures are needed, it's a bit sad that it's no longer possible.
I was just there today for a road trip it’s 2022 when I’m saying this. our cars tire was always breaking every 30 minutes
I remember going there as teenager on Saturday or Sunday afternoons matinee's in the early and mid & 70's sitting in the theatre and wondering wow this must have been some place back in the day, it always warms the heart seeing it back in its glory. I remember when Cats was announced it was a big day for the theatre.
I wanna be a part of this group , how can I go about it ? I’ve been into Folk and culture for over 18 years working into all the hotels in Jamaica and also represents our culture
