This will make you rethink your NPS investment
I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 43 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 46 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Kathie. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.
How can I reach your CFA, if you don't mind me asking?
Well her name is 'Kathie Daisy Bosco' just research the name. You'd find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment
I know this lady you just mentioned. She is a portfolio manager and investment advisor. She gained recognition as a former employee at Goldman Sachs; a renowned investor she is. She has demonstrated expertise in investment strategies and has been involved in managing portfolios and providing guidance to clients.
Been debt free for two years thanks to Kathie Daisy Bosco. So sad to see my friends in their 40s with car loans, mortgages and credit card debt.
The thing is people often doubt the prospects of financial advisors like Kathie Daisy Bosco in business/markets today. Well it gives me more time to get ahead while they stew in their own pity and doubts as they childishly complain about those spreading the word.
Quite an interesting and insightful conversation
💯
Thank You for your feedback 😊
Very insightful!! 👏👏👏👏
Thank You for your feedback 😊
it is 33% (30+3% surcharge) tax saving for > 50 Lakh salary guys. NPS investment makes 49.25 % profit (100% captial money) if we compare it with Mutal fund (67% captial post 33% tax deduction). NPS performance is inline with Largecap MFs. If you are 40 year old with >50Lakh bracket. I feel, NPS make sense for you for your retirement plan.
Very good discussion..This will help for all the people's
💯% agreed. The conversation is extremely relevant in today's day and age
What is amazing is that while household PnL is so well taken care of by females it somehow is left to the guys to manage the macro part....this might be the biggest diversity agenda to be taken care of...
No use of the answer he is giving. Nothing figurative . Only uper uper ka gyan .

Don't you think in NPS, on maturity our 40 percent corpus is stuck with low yeild (5.5% to 6% ) annuity schemes ? I think this restriction should be immediately removed by government and the investor should have a choice to invest their corpus as per their liking , Please share your views on this aspect . Is there any solution to this problem ?
he's such an interesting person 😍
It was very unique and understandable
Jackson Ruth Garcia Brenda Thompson Eric
NPS is a market linked for it to be beneficial for the employees they have to contribute in it for 25 to 30 years minimum and average growth rate of india needs to be above 6 percent but the people who are getting pension under nps have worked for 15 years or so that is why they get very low pensions
Thanks explained in Marathi
The video is fantastic but except that beep noise while showing your intro logo! That hurts a lot while hearing it on headphones.
One major selling point should also be tax efficiency. Withdrawal of equity investments attracts so much capital gains taxes. As these taxes increase loans against MFs gets more attractive
Rightly said people are actually postponing their retirement when they postpone retirement corpus planning...they might have to work longer
Thank you
👍
I learned many things from this podcast thanks 👍
Its a trap some banks will impose FLAT RATE !!!! Be careful 😢
This is again a super knowledgeable session 🎉 The right investment and patience will yield a good result.
Really makes sense now. Don’t sell your investments. Rather take a loan and avoid churning your portfolio!!
Awesome Manish.
What this smug, cynical, entitled individual fails to understand is that FIRE makes people financially responsible and start working on it as early as possible. The workplace is a soul sucking place these days and the risk of job security is forever over your head. If you save, invest and plan carefully you can protect yourself from this. Once you are FI then working is optional and you are no longer at the mercy of a corporate job. This man should have been challenged by the interviewer when he says FIREis bs.
Many people today may achieve financial independence early in their careers, leading to the idea of “retiring early.” However, retirement is a more complex and challenging prospect, especially considering that people are living longer, often 20 or more years after turning 60. This extended lifespan requires careful planning, particularly when factoring in the time value of money and the compounding effects of inflation over two decades or more. Additionally, with rising medical costs and increased access to healthcare being critical as people age, sustaining an income into your 80s or 90s becomes essential. The “retire early” narrative can sometimes mislead people-especially younger or mid-career professionals-into making drastic career decisions without fully considering the long-term financial implications. It’s akin to selling the “American Dream” to middle-class Indians, where the promise sounds appealing but may not reflect the true complexities of achieving a secure future.
The workplace need not be soul sucking. The risk of job security can be addressed using other means. If you don't like your profession or job, you should look for ways to deal with it. A doctor cannot stop being a doctor if he doesn't like his profession mid career. But he can perhaps take to teaching in a medical school. Trying to "finish" the earnings by 40 or 45 so that one can FIRE can cause burnouts if people get into multiple jobs and work 2 shifts to meet that goal. Unfortunately, many people are going that way.

Great insights, Soumitra! 👏
Great insights. My key takeaway is to go back and calculate my retirement corpus now.
NPS is a pure scam. You invest in NPS all your life and wait uptill the age of 60. Even after that age, govt doesn't allow you take out all your money which is wierd since it is your money and you have kept it with government for almost 25-40 years. They want you to buy annuity and which will help banks because they will get that money that you paid for and they can dictate the terms and give you your money in form of EMIs called pensions.
A candid conversation is always an eye opener..
Aye aye. Super insights here!
Did not understand why FIRE is bullshit 😂😂😂😂
Cos you can never retire. Take it with a pinch of salt. Influencers sell the FIRE dream. But no one helps you understand that portfolio balance, regular investing and taking hold of your expenses are key for your retirement.
It's clickbat 😂
Only Gyan.. no real substance in any of the answers given.. he is full of himself.. crap
Could you please elaborate on what you mean? Doesn’t it make sense to get a pulse on how much corpus you’d need when one retires. I found this video logical and bang on practical insights.
Very insightful 🎉
Super informative session 👍🏻
Insightful!
Awesome 👍
Very intresting, it's all about patience and timing and compounding is the reward
Well said. Ability to hold your investments <> for eventual compounding!
Well said Soumitra You look dashing too ❤

Very good insights !!
Really appreciated the deep insights on retirement challenges in India and how the insurance sector can help bridge the gap. Loved the deep dive into the Indian insurance market.
Simple and easy to understand. The topic is well chosen as customers need to be aware of the red flags.
Love this!
Whenever the anchor is ending any word with 'i', it's sounding very badly, ofcourse because of mic issue. For example - Hi But one thing is to be admitted, this channel's choice of guests is commendable. I wish they could also bring some guests who can throw some light on NRI banking...
This makes so much sense! Explained very well
Really easy to understand for someone who has 0 knowledge of insurance and how to choose one.
