The 2020 lockdown in Melbourne due to the pandemic affected my personal life. We were not allowed to go beyond 5 kilometres and a curfew after 8pm until 5am the next day. I was not able to see family and friends for a few months. To improve my mental health, I took on a number of projects to keep me busy including enrolling for a postgraduate degree. I also started taking photos and videos of the places within my 5 kilometre radius. I started to love it and I continued to take videos of different suburbs even after the lockdown.

​I realised that Australia is indeed a beautiful country and that beauty starts with our very own community; our suburbs that we live in; our local shopping centres; our parks and reserves; I took all of these for granted and it took a pandemic lockdown to make me realise how amazing this country is.
