Always say “no” to their requests! Of course it can hurt you in the rapport but there are many things people don’t understand about fish and game. If you don’t believe me just observe their actions. Why do they always ask to look into compartments if they can just do it without permission. It doesn’t even matter what the facts are you never want to give them any permission to do anything. They do have a lot of authority once they see you actively fishing or with fish, but not as much as people believe imo and case law is sparse because nobody challenges them. That’s how we get case law, by challenging their right to search compartments etc

What size rods are you using ?

I got the 9" 6' ml Dialuna two years now. No problems. Liked so much I got the M & MH both 9" 6' too cover Hali and stripers. I can cover 1/2 to 2 OZ lures with these rods I fish from Monterey north to salt point area. I live in the bay area. Maybe a defect in your rod?

I will most likely be heading up to Alaska in my old age. There is no liberty in the lower 48. You need a piece of paper from the government to fish for food that God put on this earth for us.
