Midwave Breaks are a two-piece independent alternative rock band from New Zealand. The music is a modern take on the soundtrack of their youth - epitomized by late 80’s-90’s alternative rock/pop. Driven by the energy of the creative process, Midwave Breaks craft songs that capture a moment, with a sound that is purposefully retrospective mixed with the new.

Midwave Breaks is a two piece collaboration, featuring former Supergroove drummer and West End ‘Stomp’ performer Paul Russell, and internationally recognised singer-songwriter Bruce Conlon. First crossing musical paths in high school, the pair also co-founded late 90’s alt-rock outfit Eight (album - 'Moving' SONY/BMG).
