This sucks. Once again, just like user ads, a feature that made roblox well roblox is being removed. I still to this day use messages to inquire will developers or thank them for making their games as well as reporting bugs. I also use it to let people know I’m unfriending them in case they want to readd me. I also loved using it just to be silly with my friends. Another change showing Roblox only cares about its shareholders and not the community.

I want to kill myself so bad. This world is so horrible…this just gives more reasons on why I can’t live in this world.

The only thing i actually enjoyed about meepcity was the fandom communties, ie fnaf which i was apart of for years but i was always aware of the inappropriate stuff on the game which just started ruining the game for me and other people and when parties got removed most of the fandoms left which i think is fair as the game is just a cesspit

As of now there isn't an alternative to messages, friends are limited to 200 and messages are the best way to communicate with people you don't have as a friend. This is like when they removed comments from games but at least group comments existed to act as a direct alternative. Sometimes you want to contact someone who has no social media or anything outside of Roblox and this was the best way to do it. Roblox has a bad habit of removing features instead of attempting to fix the issue. Being able to communicate outside a game with anyone is an important feature of any platform. This change isn't smart. The only way I can see this working is having an unlimited friend limit and even then, scammers will just friend people and do the same thing. There are other ways to solve this.

In my 7 years of playing Roblox, I have only messaged someone a few times In 2017 between 2018, because chat was already better than messaging and the chat filter during that time in messages was strict that you couldn't even type numbers if you were young.

16:54 no, all these tweets you shown were from different timezones and very different in context, things were very different in that era, back then albert made trolling and making meepcity parties a trend and a lot of them would try to bait RUclipsrs to join them, alex was basically aware about it but he knew during that time a lot of them were trolls and a bunch of other kids just trying to be in a video. Beds were readded after alex added a furniture update where you can interact with furniture (i think) Also alex was never a blue yoshi gooner, he didn’t even get exposed to anything as people always knew about it, and him liking blue yoshi doesn’t even make any sense on why he didn’t even do anything about meepcity, and as you can literally see it was a small phase where he was joking, that blue yoshi era didn’t last long. Also him being desensitized doesn’t make much sense, alex literally said in a tweet that he doesn’t support them but they just play the game and wanna know why he actually didn’t do anything? Alex was in every right to rely it all on roblox moderation, its a reason why roblox moderators exist, you can complain and blame alexnewtron all you want but just remember that you can’t argue because there was never a rule where roblox said developers need to take action in their own game, even if alex did took action players would find their ways around it and either way the players who were abusing the game with bypassed avatars would still be on Roblox which is why its their liability, alex never had to do anything as it was not his job to do roblox moderation, he simply had no control over player behavior or anything, its his choice what he wants to do in his game and what he wants to add, he has already tooken action in his game as well before but at the end, there was nothing to stop the situation as roblox moderation failed to keep its platform safe.
