There was a HUGE line out front!!. What a mess the strip was that night!!, and I couldn't get in! 😢🤷‍♂. I've seen different clips from this night. It's really cool to see the whole thing. The strip was a very different scene in the mid 80s, and seeing a band like Janes blow up the Roxy was really something!. I didn't know 3 Days was from this period?. So they sat on that song for 3yrs before releasing it. Love how Steve always started Pigs In Zen so fast, then when everyone kicks in it drops down. I could go on and on!...... Lots of memories from that crazy time!.

I like watching these early Jane's shows because I like watching Dave better as an introvert. Same feeling I get when I see early Led Zeppelin. While 1973 was the band's instrumental peak, I struggle to watch Robert Plant at his full sex symbol poser persona.

I lived in LA at this time. You could feel the energy from the music scence. So many clubs. I remember the KXLU in town report seemed to list 50 bands a night. I saw JA at the Scream downtown. It was a great show. I remember Gene Loves Jezebel opened for them.

I was at this show! Mainly went for System of a Down, but was blown away by bungle. Danny Heifetz is amazing, dude is the most non-opposing looking guy and he CRUSHES. Especially with all the gear the other drummers used that night. I also remember Mike Patton rushing their gear off the stage at the end. It was like a local show where the next band was in a hurry to set up or something. Thanks for posting this!

I was there seems so long ago the better vibes & possibilities of that time vs now hell we even had winters back then. Trevor's cowboy hat said "queer" on the front lol.. Was chillin down on the floor drinking a beer, when robots kicked in there went my beer, I was somehow lifted off the ground and transported to another side of the floor lol.. thanks Mike P for all the years of pushing things the way you did, you could have been the main stream super rich pop star instead you gave us all of this enjoyment, thank you.

OMG. I carried stuff to this concert. I had a friend who "ruled" this scene. We helped theese dudes in with their OPETH shirts and they were so fucking friendly. I did not understand metal to this level but smoked a ton of weed later and then happened to go back without really knowing where i was and experience this show full on. It was a huge wake up to real extreme music that can not be compared. I Was Awakened by Devin and i will be forever grateful.
