Pine Creek White Christmas
We actually got a nice bit of snow on the last day of our Santa trains, it's been years since we last had snow on an operating day so I wasn't gonna miss my chance to get a shots of the last train. Evening light means this turned out great. Merry (very) late Christmas

Woodstown Central actually had 2 different trains running on December 7th which was a nice surprise. SMS 304 was pulling a train in Salem in conjunction with a Salem township historical society event. I thought the curves at Pine Creek sounded bad.
Christmas Train Enters South Woodstown Station

Went down the Woodstown Central on Saturday, hoping to catch the newly operational steam engine #9. Unfortunately the engine was down due to water pump issues so would not run until later in the day. It is cool to see a set of one type of historic cars on a train like this though.

Arrow Set Equipment Move

And rounding out this great night on the corridor we get an equipment move featuring a bunch of classic NJ Transit locos. Glad I live in a state where i can still see both of this stuff regularly.

This was a nice surprise, got to see this set run back and forth twice, Amtrak testing their new Diesel Locomotives on the fastest section of track they got.

I love the banshee whistle
Usually the most heartwarming part of the Santa Train. It would be even more moving with NS 8098 and CSX 1976 pulling a push-pull passenger train.
I think the last 6 axel engine to run down that line was a pair of E8s (in 2013). and C&D unfortunately has a hard ban on any passenger trains on that line in their contract
@@conductork9221Man. :( But would that be cool with heritage unit ES44ACs pulling the Santa Train?
@@Gwinnettrailfan would be neat, though i really do like C&D's old geeps
@ they are cool
Beautiful ❤
It's quite the sight isn't it
was this recorded at the day you uploaded it, or a few days before? I want to know if this was done recently
This was late October
0:47 Is the fire department escorting the train like they do with Christmas trains? 😮

As an Roller Coaster Enthusiast and Theme Park Junkie, I hope some Roller Coaster Manufacturers like, Vekoma, or MACK could probably model their trains for their Family Mine Coasters after these Battery Powered Mine Locomotives, Built in the 1910's through early 40's including Greensburg's Battery Powered Mine Locomotives built by the Greensburg Machine Company of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. However, RMC should get involved in building Family Mine Coasters as well, and they could probably duplicate their trains after Battery Powered Mine Locomotives built by any manufacturer.
nice SAAHC
My favorite kind of railroading: Switching industries and branch line operations. Nice horn.
There are actually TWO Geeps with this paint scheme. #4205 is the other.
