Insurance totaled it😊
Why do you think so?
that fact there is no noise associated with that is crazy too must be a strong ass part!
No noise, no play, nothing! But once I took the tension of the bolt, the part just fell off lol
it i broke it wouldent have been that bad probably would have rolled still
I'm pretty sure that this happened when someone torqued the bolt down to oblivion. The bolt was stripped as well, that's why I am thinking this is what happened
It's all good and thick until you get to the ball joint then its super thin around the stud where it matters. 😂 They could have made that way stronger without much more material. Cutting corners where ever they can when the manufacturer has to mass produce vehicles. Lets get back to quality over quantity. Looks ain't everything. 😂
Agreed 100%
they are junk , but rich people loves it
I would never have a range even if it was given to me for free, here in UK they breakdown all the time
It’s the same in the US haha
Interesting indeed! 😀😎
Very cool! 👍😀
😳
If he would have made a u turn the. It wiuld have snapped like on old hondas with double wishbone suspension
Once I released the tension from the bolt the cracked peace just fell off. The bolt was the only thing that was holding it
@TheGiantMechanic wow
@CRAPO2011 I hope he bought that ticket haha
@TheGiantMechanic definitely, I hope he thanked you for seeing that
I’m buying 3 lottery tickets right now just from watching that! Welcome back, keep rocking! 👍😀
Mannnn the exact same thing happened to me. Your video just showed me everything I need to know... Now I gotta find out how to change the valve
It's very easy! I believe it is like 4-5 bolts. Don’t forget to clean all surfaces from oil and gunk before you install the new pcv valve and you are good to go!
6speed manual in my R/T 😊
What color is this? Its not stock emira color?
I do not know. Im pretty sure it was a wrap, but it has been so long, I do not remember
Always do your service and mot andbyou will have no problems with any car
Money traps. If you can’t afford to replace it, don’t buy one cause you’re going to have to pay out of pocket to replace one of them lol.
I keep telling people that maintenance is key for these cars, but they just laugh at me. I laugh when it comes back on a tow truck haha
Junk
Rovers are junkkk
Land Rover Discovery is the worst suv you can buy, it's a money pit.
I disagree. Any Land Rover/Jaguar product is unreliable lol
Or add to the cost 😂
The worst used car purchase ever
And people still buy them
@@TheGiantMechanicthey want to feel special
@@JustRollin There definitely is a "attitude" of when people own a Land Rover/Jaguar product
Land rovers are junk to begin with
I am thinking of ordering the ms906pro from my local napa, and the price difference between it at the ms906ts is more than what it costs to get ITS600. So if i order it I'm going to just order the tpms tool separately. Also after 6 months are you still happy with it?
That is exactly what I did pretty much! And the updates are cheaper that way! I am very happy with the product. I use it every day and only had a couple of times where I needed a more powerful scan tool for programming
@TheGiantMechanic ya my plan is to buy this tool, then buy a tpms tool and J box to use with a laptop separately
@@RyldUp-uo3pc Smart!
Best car in the world. NOT😂
This one at least reached 140k miles 🤷♂️. Usually they go bad faster lol
PCV Valve. It may be inside the valve cover. If so, you have to get a new one.
Correct. In this case, it is not part of the valve cover, and you can buy just the pcv assembly
I have a 2018 atlas and it leaking from the left side bottom corner of the radiator... How much does labor cost for replacement? Sux
If I remember correctly, that is where the coolant was leaking on this radiator as well. Labor will really depend on the shop you bring it to and where you are from, so it is hard to say. I don't recall what book time was, and if I had to discharge the AC system, if I remember correctly, I did not discharge the system
O ok thanx... I had it since it's brand new and while it was still under warranty I had the water pump done the AC compressor coolant reservoir and a couple other things as of today it only has 50,000 miles.. crazy
@gagrg76 Yeah I am sorry that things keep breaking on you. Hopefully this is the last repair for a while!
Oil changes are expensive Just buy a new one
Makes sense to me 😂
Its a Range Rover what did you expect.. it has a drinking problem.
Can't fix stupid
This isn't even stupid. It's just a total lack of effort
@TheGiantMechanic you're right, better way to put it
If you treat an engine like crap, it'll crap on you.
Wise words
Junk from the factory
Won't disagree
Why?
@@KangoV Why is it junk?
@@TheGiantMechanic yes,why?
Many issues with the cooling system, oil consumption, electric problems, the mild hybrid battery having issues at low mileage, and so on. Even simple things like not choosing the right material for the coolant pipe oring that goes into the turbo that will cause a coolant leak at 30k miles on a brand new car. Everyone hoped that once the contract with Ford was over, the new in house built Inginium engines would be awesome! So far, they are nothing but problems even at low mileage.
Can u just replace the bearing and go on about ur way after flushing the engine with oil a few times
I wouldn't personally. The super small oil passages might be clogged and will eventually cause the engine to seize. I would not risk it. But I have seen people do it and not blow up their engines thousands of miles later. Is kind of a 50/50. If it was my car I wouldn't
The reason is not so they can earn money, the reason is so YOU can't. You need to go to your Lords at the dealers to check it for you.
Trust me, it's for money, haha. You can check the oil level theoretically on the instrument cluster, but I don't trust it. Or you can buy a dipstick for like 20$
I have the perfect solution for this. A longer dipstick.
Works every time haha
Lol let the engine warm up and the computer will tell u the oil level
Do you trust the oil level sensor 100%?
i bet you own a bluetooth air compressor don’t you
@TurdKutter Is this a question for me? Also, I never heard Bluetooth air compressor, that is hilarious 😂
How much dose a dip stick cost for an Audi ? I would figure if you can afford the car you could afford a dip stick?...😂
I think the point is why can't Audi afford to put a dipstick in the hole made for it?
They used to put dipsticks in their older models, and then, for some reason (money 🤫), they stopped. Even if it did have a dipstick from the factory, 90% of the owners don't check their oil
@@TheGiantMechanic Yup. It's all about the money.... If people can't check the oil they'll burn up motors which will make money.... Built in obbsolences.
@v2vortex Sad, but true. To be fair, you can check the oil through the instrument cluster, but it is so inaccurate. I would check it through the cluster, and it would say the oil level is at max and then drain the oil and find 1.5qt of oil low
@@TheGiantMechanicthat’s because the system can only measure up to 1.5 low. same way most dip sticks can only read ab 1.5qt maybe 2 on some. either way if you see no oil on the stick, or the message says 1.5, it’s a bad sign
I have the perfect solution to this problem of Audi reliability. My solution was to buy a Lexus instead.
Works every time 😁
All Volvo cars have this problem, those clowns at Dorman make a part that goes on top of the PVC it's like a cap with a spring and silicone like membrane $13, Volvo does not sell this part. Volvo make you replace the whole PCV part not the end of the world. This fails when you don't change oil often enough (my opinion)
You are correct about everything except why it fails. Although you are right that late oil changes will cause this issue faster, oil changes on time won't prevent the pcv valve not failing
Did it have a code for lean condition? I’ve noticed the chevys with built in pcv valve fail and cause a lean code
Yes, it did! Whenever a pcv is bad, it will cause a code, but you have to be careful and make sure that it is actually the pcv that is causing the lean condition. Very rare will it not cause the check engine light to turn
What a replacement job like this go for roughly considering the parts are remanufactured? Im guessing about $3,500 or so all in ? Perhaps a bit more at dealership?
I do not recall, but I think it was around that price. I don't remember how much the differential itself was, but labor was around 1300 from what I remember
Very important mantenaince… i have the same vehicle, and i do this work… what kind of fluid you put in??and there is a double bolt one for put out and one for put in? Thanks a lot! Sorry for my bad english 😅
No, you just drain the old fluid and put the new fluid in. The fluid was bought from the dealer, I don't remember what exact fluid it is, but it is not just pure simple gear oil
Can you tell if the engine mounts are bad by rocking the engine by hand? If it rocks ok, does that mean the mount are still good?
You can't because you are testing the front struts by doing that, not the engine mounts. To check your engine mounts, do something called power braking. Putting the car is drive, and while holding the brake pedal, start accelerating every 3 seconds to see if the engine is jumping up, which would indicate the mount being bad. Do the same thing, just not in drive, but reverse to check the other mount. Hope this helps
@@TheGiantMechanic Thanks, I will do that!
@@Armanos99 No problem!
Well Buddy is great with crayons but hasn’t mastered gluing things yet! High five him twice because kindergarten is amazing. But tell buddy to put down the glue!😂😂😂😂❤
It's the effort that counts, right? 😂
By now, your friend knows that is not the belt my friend. 😂😂😂
This is a customers car, and he definitely found out it wasn't the belt when he started the car 😁
Stethoscope tell you what is going on
You don't even need it for this particular case
that's what you get for not paying diagnostics. If you want me to find the problem pay me if you want to spend money and not fix the problem don't complain when the problem is not fixed.
I doubt that the lesson was learned, but who knows, maybe! At least he won't need to worry about the belt and tensioner for a while lol
Pcv is bad
Hmm Volvo, probably a fomoco valve cover on it if I had to guess. Ford makes it’s way to Europe just like it did to Asia with Mazda
You are correct about almost everything. But this is a Volvo in house made engine. Similar problems
Pcv valve stuck closed
Ripped diaphragm
It's not a squeak, it's a whistle !
It does sound like a whistle
Crankshaft seal. My Chevy Cruze was doing this. Replaced valve cover because PCv is built into it and it still squeaked. Changed crankshaft seal and it's fixed
Good guess! But in this case it was the pcv valve
Got a 2016 Challenger Scatty M6 and sure enough it got stolen including being found in ghetto ass Oakland, Ca. Who wouldda thought, right? Just because it's manual doesn't mean it can't be touched my guy. 😂
Of course, this is just a joke. If it can be turned on, it can be stolen
