I ended up only having room for 3 colors since the baubles I bought were kinda small! 2.36in. I used worsted weight w 10 in magic circle still :) they look really pretty, thank you for the tutorial!!

I love this, BUT my work is slanting more and more the further I go. What might I be doing wrong? My guess it has something to do with that seventh stitch that I'm pulling up from the side.
Yes, it'll be tighter on that side so try and make sure you keep the first st of the return pass loose.

Not at all. Just get a ball of yarn and a hook. There are loads of videos to get you started (including on my channel!)
If you've never crocheted in your life, could you make 3 pairs of these by Christmas? Or should I just try and make a coaster and give it to the person I like least?

@freddielovescrochet fine! I'm gonna do your beginner granny square (I'm watching it now) and just master them. Then everyone can get coasters for presents. Eventually I'll move onto the Daisy square because that looks really cool. Then I'll start a rival company called Freddy Crochet where I dress as Freddy Crueger whilst doing crochet. @freddielovescrochet It very sadly got damaged after my house got wrecked by the ivy (damp). I won the court case and technically I should have put in a claim for thousands for that piece alone. It was one of a kind after all! We have a nice new dry not damaged house now, but no nose warmer... swings and roundabouts. Xx

Great project -- don't know if you noticed but in joining the 2 sides you started in the invisible mattress stitch, then whip stitched, then mattres stitched again. Does it necessarily matter? No, but one effect is different than the other. Am going to try this for Christmas
Ah I hadn't realised. I made this over a year ago now. I would do the mattress stitch all the way around.

Does anyone know how to do a drunken granny square decrease? Would it be the same? I can't find anything online that helps, I'm trying to make tapered sleeves.
