Can we just talk about how adorable this interaction is between these two partners? And thank you so much for this easy to understand explanation and demonstration. I will be trying this, as I frequently find flower pots I’d love to use that do not have drainage holes! In fact, the more I like the pot, the less likely it will have drainage holes, it seems 😂
very nice lovely plant
Thank you so much. I have a drill but I will try this technique. I have many ceramic pots without holes and this will allow me to transplant a lot of my succulents.
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
@@user-qf1ve1xo8l Thank you
your work is perfect and beautiful.
@@OrigamiManiacs Aww, you are too sweet. Thanks
Where to get the silicone moulds?
You can buy from online shops like ebay, amazon or aliexpress..
@SucculentSocial Yes, thank you. I found them in ebay, Temu, and Amazon too. Thank you for the tutorial is was great.
What kind of plant is that?
That is a Echeveria elegans
Very informative video you need to make more.
Thank you, we will. We just had a new baby so videos will have to wait for now but once I am more settled, we will take advantage of maternity leave. 😃
I was never taught much, if anything about plants. I love them so much, bear paws are my favourite. This is incredibly helpful, what may be common sense for others isn’t for some. I appreciate you teaching me about the cuttings and trimmings!! ❤
Glad it was helpful! 😄
Trader Joe’s cinnamon powder yay! Love this video btw you’re a life saver!
Aww, glad it was helpful! 😃
I’m making some home decor and desk organizers. Do I need to seal them? If yes, which sealant would you recommend?
Hi. If I use them for plants, I do not seal them as I want them to be as porous as possible.. But if you need to seal them, you can use one for pots and ornaments.
Can you use play sand? And what type of concrete? Like what materials should I buy from the big box stores
Hi sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can use play sand. then mix with concrete and water..
Your arrangements are just beautiful ❤
Thank you so much! 😍
Your arrangements are soooooo beautiful ❤
You are too kind. Thanks. 😍
Do you wash or seal them after making please.
yes, we wash them but the seal will be depending on what we use them for. If putting in candles, we seal them. For succulents, we don’t so they can remain as porous as possible..
@@SucculentSocial thank you. This has been so helpful.
Great video! Does the stump endlessly give babies?
yes, they gave babies..☺️
Where are siliconmoulds
Available in South Africa?
Hi. I ordered from China but I am sure you can find in ebay or Amazon..
Godzilla, terraria world.Do you have a Little person running in there and the buttons show monsters and some in pieces and in some very cute animals
that is an interesting idea! 😁
Thanks a lot for the information.
Glad it was helpful! 😍
Thank you for such a useful, practical and informative video! Ive been cracking my head on how to save my leggy succulents and you actually show exactly what to do - thank you, subscribed and followed
Glad it was helpful! 😍
How often did you water it after you repotted?
once a week or once a fortnight, depending on the season.. mostly my guide is I water when the soil is dry.
Talking so slowwww ……
I know, I got a tendency to do that when just chilled and having fun..
Please, what does PBN stand for those of us who don't know?
Hi. So sorry for using jargon. This is Echeveria Perle von Nurnberg, commonly called PVN.. ☺️
For some reason I didn’t wanna try the tape or water method but I am very interested to try this one! Thanks!
Go for it! and tell us how it went for you..☺️
Salamat Po! I wondered if a bear tomotosa that has dropped all it's leaves and left only with stems ...no burns on them will grow new leaves ? In my case the leaves shrunk and were chubby, but just dropped it's leaves (the plant was exposed to a High temperature morning sun) Thank you for the update and really appreciate all your efforts and time.
Hi there. Based on my experience with dropping leaves, they drop because there is a problem in the root system. Even if they are exposed to extreme heat like some of our summer days here, the leaves can get sun burnt, or really dry and crunchy but they do not drop the leaves. If you get a chance, try to check if all is okay with roots ( any rot?). If all good, then you just have to wait for new leaves to grow but lots of patience will be required as they are slow growers. Thanks.
Sure, I will follow your advice for sure and thank you ever so much for wonderful advice. I hope you have a wonderful time gardening.
Thanks for making this video. The succulents are lovely & the finished arrangements are stunning.😍👏💖
So nice of you. Thank you so much!
Hi! Hope often did you water after doing this? Thank you!!
We water only when the soil is dry. That could be once a week or once every two weeks depending on the season. Thanks
I love frilly Echeveria, especially "Zorro".
They are gorgeous, right? ( Sorry to reply only now, we got busy with Mother's Day orders. )
Would like to know how to make my plant make more dolphins. It has morning sun and is only wayered when dry Need help please.
Hey Diane, sorry to reply only now, we got busy with Mother's Day orders. I would lay a string flat on the soil so each node will develop roots and grow from there, making it more full eventually. Thanks.
'PromoSM' 😁
Really interesting to watch this. My PVN was the same size as yours 2 years ago and I let her go to flower for the first year, then also tried to propagate the leaves from the flower stalks in the 2nd flowering but had no success with that last year. This year, now autumn in Perth, she was looking a bit straggly so I decided to do a head chop and now I have 5 pups on the original PVN stalk plus the larger leaves that were removed are also now just starting to show tiny pink bumps where the babies are growing! Exciting! I wish I tried the head chop sooner. I honestly didn’t think PVN was so prolific due to her struggling to grow big over the last 2 years. I’m so happy to see many pups this year. 😊💜💜💜
Hi Susan, firstly, so sorry that I got to reply only now, we got busy with Mother's Day orders. I am so like you, when the plant is too perfect, I tend to not propagate them or head chop. But letting them grow too big is also not ideal as the weight puts pressure on the stem. The one that I have in this video has to be head chop soon too as it is not looking its best. =( You are very lucky with the pink bumps, that is really awesome.
@@SucculentSocial Not a problem. Thanks for your reply. PVN is one of my faves as I love the purple succulents so I instantly clicked on your video. 💜
What kind of succulent is this?
These are jelly beans. They are from genus Sedum but there are too many varieties similar to these that are also sedums.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
What size are the pots?
These are 7cm x 6.3 cm pots, plus of course, factor in the extra height from the succulents.
These make me hungry for churros lol
Lol!
Good stuff! I noticed my little succulent started growing a stem, and a couple of beautiful little floweres popped out.
Oh wow! Congratulations to you!
So did you actually do anything with the stocks?
I actually gathered them all, put in a vase and they had been a colourful centrepiece in our home for about 2 months. They last that long. Some people like to plant the stalks and yes, they can give babies too. but I am happy just to collect the leaves.
They are gorgeous 🥰❤
Thank you.
Beautiful 😍
Thank you! Cheers!
Dis the leaf grow roots?
No! they just wrinkled and dried out! 😞
Wow! Ok! Thank you for letting me know!
What are their names? Please
I am sorry, I don’t know their names..I just saw these is a garden store and as beautiful as they are, sedums are difficult to identify for me. 🤦🏻♀️
Im actually looking for the drill to buy but found it so expensive to get just to use for a few times in making hole in the pot… glad i found this tip! Will surely try it.
Yes me too went HD price diamond bits is $16-20 bit to drill a $10 pot …😂😂😳
Yey, glad you find this helpful. Let us know how it’ll go for you.. 😍
very very pretty! thanks for sharing
can we water without roots ? will it rot even after callous ? thanks for the video
Hi there. I usually wait for baby roots to come out before I introduce water simply because of the principle of it is the roots' job to absorb water. If there are no roots, then water just stays there and keep the stems wet. Having them to have callus, minimises the risk of rot, but still no guarantee, depending on soil quality and moisture present in the soil. Hope this helps.
@@SucculentSocial Helps a lot for sure Thank you for taking the time to reply with precious advice to help us succulent growers .
🤩
Nice idea 🐣🐥🐇💛👍
Thank you! Cheers!
My cuttings won’t root in shade, I have to put them under a grow light or else they won’t root.
Hi there, oh no. I habe not experience that before. Sometimes I would drop cuttings under a work table or under seat of the car and when I finally discover them, they have rooted but of course etiolated due to lack of sun. I have experience though that some types can grow roots slower than others. Sometimes, it could be months before roots come out.
Kapan waktunya disiram?
After a month or so, I check them if they have roots then if yes, I will slowly introduce some water. I have a part 2 for this video showing the progress. ruclips.net/p/PLgOR8jSO5w1Fkpkbkeuyz4K8BE2USyXjs&si=qCxa7l6EEmMeXuym Thanks
How is the beautiful purple “twisted” sempervivum that Alfred bought doing? Do you still have it?
It is doing good, we have taken some pups and separated them but they have not grown the twist yet, maybe when they are more mature.
So ignoring them for a month.... so when do you water them?
Hi, after a months or so, I will check if they have roots and if they do, I will slowly introduce water. Not frequent but just water when soil is dry.
