TUPAC PERALTA
Born in Lima Perú, 1970's, he is settled in Ibiza (Spain). He is well-known as an instrumentalist in different genres such as Jazz, Latin, and Classical, and he is currently considered as one of the best Quena flute (andean flute) performers.
With his particular style, he handles a diversity of interpretative ways and techniques of flutes of the world, and an international repertoire, on the one hand, and of his own, on the other. This way, he establishes a musical bridge between our ancestral ethnic legacy and the contemporary sound which also comes with the emergence of new technologies.
He has toured as a Quena, flute and bass player with artists as relevant as Carlos Santana, Ziggi Marley, Marc Anthony, Jerry González o Dave Valentín.
He has two Gold Records for his works, Deep Blue and Green Paradise, and he was recognized with the Grammy for best native American instrumental album in 2008, of which Grammy Awards later released an album, Spirit of the Red Man.
