Thank you sir, it’s definitely easier to catch them on live bait. I just got extremely lucky. There were so many mullet in the water it was a one in a million shot they got my lure. 😂
Thanks for the video, as the repair described was actually what I needed to loosen up the drag. Use my reel for surf fishing.
Yes sir, all the lower end Penns do this. The heat swells up that insert in the spool and it gets tight. Some drill that out, but you have to be awful precise. I’m glad it helped.

Dude, did you shoot that Timelapse? I’ve been there too. The realization of the muck I am, but then the bigger realization of the completion of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Me realizing my muck makes Jesus so much better. Worthy is the Lamb, right?

Amen, He is an awesome God.
We see ourselves through human eyes. That makes it hard to accept His forgiveness 😔. When we remember he loves us just as we are,it gets a little easier. Nice fatty you caught Hopefully the cooler weather shows up in a few weeks and the ol lipless crankbaits will definitely be a great lure to use. Love a lipless crank in the fall.

I enjoy these long videos of more realistic fishing for me. Not like those other RUclipsrs who only post back to back catches videos.
Well, you will definitely enjoy my channel. It’s not just about catching fish. I like getting some of the realism, beauty and definitely put a bug in your ear about God. It’s rare you come down here and the fish are just stacked from the bank. There are places you can find that, but you usually have to wade to them and I don’t have a wade partner at the moment.
Keep the saltwater fishing coming! Galveston is the only place that I can go saltwater fishing at the moment so I like when you post saltwater videos!

Thanks for sharing your heart Mike. Always nice having some real thoughts and transparency from you. One person I've been listening to recently is Frank Turek on Spotify. The way he breaks down God and His nature is pretty phenomenal. Man, I miss throwing a popping cork out. That is definitely some fun fishing. I like the use of multiple angles too, including the timelapse. Storytelling is getting better! It was peaceful listening to those crashing waves (watching this while I was editing)

Hardheads do in fact carry a mild venom in their fins. Simple google search will verify. www.wlf.louisiana.gov/species/detail/hardhead-catfish Lousiana government website even verifies it. "Hardheads get their name from the bony plate between their eyes and dorsal fin. They have a slender, elongated shape with a forked tail and slighlty flattened head. They are silver with brown to olive green undertones and a yellow to white belly. They have three sharp, serrated spines on their dorsal and pectoral fins that are coated with a venomous slime and can inflict a painful puncture wound. Hardheads have six barbels (whiskers), four under their chin and two round barbels at the corner of their mouth."

I agree with Jonathan. I'd catch dinks for a while. Then try and move on to a spot where you might find bigger ones. The bass usually hang out in groups all the same size. By the way, what size jig head do you use with the baby whales? I might have to try those. I also really like the bew logo.😊
@@castingacrosstexasfishing I buy the 3/16 ounce 6th sense finesse jig heads. The logo is still a work in progress, I’m trying to learn After Effects and Illustrator. So I’m working on animating it. I may not have enough computer.

Nothing but crabs the past month
Use them for bait. Put them on a 10/0 or bigger hook.
@@savedbygraceoutdoors I bring crab as bait , but what I’m saying is nothing was eating my bait but crabs. They were mauling the mullet and even picking all of the meat out of the crab. This is pretty much all that was happening fishing on the bottom yesterday and the past month that I have been going.
@CryptoPaysMeDaily just leave the shell out there. That black drum that’s what she ate. The crabs picked the meat out a while ago. The drum love the shell too. Usually the flipper if you leave it on has just enough meat to entice them and the crabs can’t get it out. Hope this helps with tight lines. TCD is a waiting game most definitely. I’m not saying you didn’t try everything. Just trying to help. Also go past mile 4 where the close channel marker is the crabs aren’t quite as bad out there.

@@ronnstone7023 just take the road along the top of the levee before you get to Surfside. There are all kinds of spots along there. Bring plenty mosquito repellent. It’s a left off 332 before you get to the causeway.
