Looking back at this, Miles and Agatha arguably had the worst fates out of all of them. I had the opposite experience. I saw Bright Young Things which made me read Vile Bodies & both were brilliantly fun. (Although the movie's ending is preferable IMO.) I read Brideshead Revisited & the modern adaptation was horrifying & I didnt last ten minutes.

One time we had homework in history class about the 20s in germany, where we were given different scources and we had to think of movie titles and posters for them. I think I got a painting by otto dix, showing the night life of berlin. I did not do the homework so I sat there, dumbfounded. So when I had to present, I just said 'to be honest, I did not do the homework, but there's this movie the painting reminds me of' and then talked about bright young things. My teacher LOVED that response, she even noted down the name of the movie. In conclusion, stan Michael Sheen.
