I've had this game for a while and have been to consumed with Digital Combat Simulator that I have not spent any time on it. This is just a tutorial. The first one. I look forward to the days when I need to outthink the enemy, make a kill and get away.

I did a quick takeoff and a landing in X Plane 12. My controls were not setup correctly. I just wanted to see how the game would perform and how much easier it is to land a Cirrus SR22 than a Mustang. It has been a long time effort. I remember when I started, I said "I don't want easy." But, I had no idea it would be this hard. :P My good landings are coming more often now but I still have some broken plans while landing. Had one today. Okay, maybe it's a little off but it's the first time I called one perfect. It's very close. I saw a three-point landing with no bounce and no smoke from my tires. It was a few feet further down the runway than I wanted but it is well within the landing zone. I am very happy with it.

My landings continue to improve. It's a good thing I'm stubborn. This one had a slight bounce so not perfect but it was very smooth. It's a good landing. I'm getting there.

I think this is my best landing ever.

This is a better landing than I think I've ever executed in Digital Combat Simulator. Seems like I'm slowly getting there. Like a can of old-fashioned Southern molasses on a cold winter morning poured from a can.

I got a throttle a few days ago. Having two controllers will be required but it is causing me to start over almost from the beginning. I'm having trouble with the hat on the throttle, I am having problems manipulating it so I added a free version of head tracking. That's not working great for me either. Landing my warbird at an airfield as we prepare for D-Day. This flight includes a low pass over the runway. Then a pattern around the airport and finally a good landing. I would have liked the last few feet to float a little more but it was a solid landing.

I got some new maps and wanted to test them out. The plane seems to handle differently. Better. This is an interesting landing, I'll let you watch it rather than tell you. I'm laughing. Once I made it to the runway the landing itself was very good.
