Nightreign was never going to be AC named game The new AC6 name will start with word sounding like "Six" or with first two letters VI in its name like "ACV was " Victory"

Well, being skeptical of all of this benefitted me it sounds like. I don't feel trolled or disappointed because I never once thought Nightfall was the AC6 DLC.

Expectation is the mother of disappointment - and I was at least a little disappointed. That said, I remain confident that we'll get more AC - eventually -. From hired some new mecha artists not too long ago, and I don't imagine that was for nothing.

Without trying to step on anyone's shoes here, objectively roguelikes are not resource intensive games to make, there's a reason indy devs gravitate towards them over full fledged games. I wouldn't be surprised if From just grabbed a small group of people to make this. really I'd put the AC community as the ones laughing at Souls fans getting these bread crumbs of a game. it's even reusing a ton of assets from older games, people mistaken this is a fan made mod. im sure it will be fun but comparing the time and effort they put into ac6 i wouldn't be expecting anything ac related for another year or two. any sooner and its a red flag they didn't put much effort into it. besides a dlc of course

The worst was the Secret Level episode, with all new parts and Keanu. How was that not a DLC promotion...

My personal tin foil hat theory is that Nightreign is a quick asset flip/cash grab to appease the new Sony overlords. Because correct me if I'm wrong they said they were done on Elden Ring content for a while. Then Sony takes over the parent company and suddenly we get this new game. Ah well. Either way I'm sure we'll get more AC content in the future. Just hopefully the near future.

In regards to the font situation, I think I can add some clarity here. So the original "Nightreign" white text on black background likely is a fabrication. I don't have any sources, which is why I think this is the case. Gematsu being a scant and only source is a red flag that the graphic came from them. But why would someone do this? If I were to speculate, I don't think it is out of malice or trolling, I think they just needed a hero graphic for their article and, because the article doesn't have a clue as to what it could be, they just went into a program and created generic font on white background "NIGHTREIGN." To give them benefit of doubt, I would say it's a coincidence that the font, being a rounded tall sans-serif font, looks so close to the "Fires of Rubicon" subtitle. If the publication truly was trying to be sensationalist about it, they would have chosen a font that resembled more popular FS titles and even put an image on there just to get people to click -- so I don't think they're being dishonest here. As for the second "Nightreign" graphic with black text on white background, the answer is far more simple, and confirms the theory above. This is taken from a trademark watching website, and if you look at others, while some of the trademarks that are shown have graphics, others default to a standard monospaced serif font, typically used in Japanese legal documents where the Latin alphabet is used. It's as generic as generic gets, and, coincidentally, Elden Ring uses that "Lord of the Rings" "Gladiator" "epic" type of font which has serifs and very pronounced curves. Again, this is just a coincidence, they are not the same font. I know its easy for us to huff the copium, but I think we're starting to see false connections and spinning fiction in our heads. Will ACVI have a DLC? That's still up for debate, but I would say the "Nightreign" conspiracy was drummed up too fast in the AC community with minimal fact checking and a prayer. Not to say it wasn't fun to speculate and anticipate, but just don't beat yourself over misinterpreting two different PNGs.

I actually want the same game, but an Armored core universe version. imagine an armored core roguelike where you pick up parts in an open world! just like nightrein but armored core. idk i think that'd be sick

Dudes with a little shitbox ac with a core that should weight too much for its legs and dual machine gun pistols are ruining it for the new/casual players. You can say it's a skill issue because you're right. I love this game so much but why is two small guns outgunning literally every other gun in the game. I regret becoming a rank B dudes in C are clearly just playing and do not care for the stats.

It's kind of crazy that this might be the only reaction to this video on this entire platform.

Just got into armored core and was watching a ton of stuff on it and went down a rabbit whole i love these videos

So Keanu's character is limping and has a device on one of his legs (the left one iirc), we know Walter is using a cane to walk. The action takes place on a frozen planet, we know Walter went to Jupiter in his younger days. Keanu has a voice in his head, like 621 (same voice actress as Ayre no less), and the dude in the bar says they don't make augmented humans like this anymore. We can assume he's a 4th gen, the last generation to make use of Coral. So i know it's a bit of a stretch, but hear me out here. What if Keanu's character is actually a young Walter ? We know for a fact that the surgery is reversible, so it's possible Walter, as a child of some Institute researchers, was actually a test subject for the Coral augmentation, fled to Jupiter, earned some credits as a merc (that would explain why he's such a good pilot in AC6, according to Allmind itself), and undid the surgery at some point before becoming a Handler. I might be totally wrong here, but it kinda make sense i think.
