Am I the only one who doesn’t understand how in tvd season 2, Elijah actually thought he could kill Klaus... like i know that rewatching the show after the originals have changed my whole perspective of season 2 and 3, but when Elijah reasurres Elena that he will kill Klaus no matter what I just burst out laughing...😅

Even after everything, they could never stay apart. They truly did love each other and Elijah always tried his best to save Klaus and I feel like that might be why Klaus always gets himself into trouble, I think that Klaus likes knowing that no matter what, Elijah will be there. I love the way the series ended but at the same time don’t. Spoiler alert After everything that they’ve been through, Klaus had redeemed himself and Elijah’s life mission had been complete. They even fought over the fact that they didn’t want the other to die and in the end, Klaus was the one who had to die and Elijah wanted to die with his little brother. They say that it was because his life had been complete but he still had Rebekah and Kol, I think gay he wanted to die with Klaus because I don’t think tha Elijah could live without him, even though they’re technically only half brothers, they were closer than anyone else.
