Being from Mumbai, I can tell you, the climate was much better at that time. Of course a little hot, but it was not hot & humid like Mumbai. We did Dharamshala, Mcleodganj, Gallu which was comparatively pleasant. Kangra & Maroor were a bit hot.

It was surely a scenic route

It was just offline booking when I went there. But now mobile numbers are available in Google. Meghalaya I had done offline booking. Sikkim (Gangtok to Siliguri Airport) I had contacted the given Mobile number, Made NEFT payment online, collected the actual ticket from their office (Gangtok) when I went there. # For Guwahati to Shillong (& may be vice-versa) Booking office is in the Guwahati airport itself. # For Shillong to Guwahati Its in the main market of Shillong. Meghalaya Helicopter Service. goo.gl/maps/Q9RircZ9z26aCACk7 Landmarks It is in the ASTC Bus stand building, Shillong, Right opposite to the Meghalaya tourist Development corporation office (Tourist information centre)

Also, you can book tickets at the office near the helipad itself. The Shillong helipad & the office are next to 2 sight-seeing spots (Elephant Falls & Air force Museum) which you will generally cover if you are going to Shillong trip. This is also still the cheapest helicopter service in India, I believe Rs.1500 NOTE keep your travel luggage to less than 10kg/person

Honestly, mid December could be bit harsh. Not to scare you, but silk route last yr, the tourist had to be rescued by the army around 3rd week December. You can search/Google it. Suddenly, it received heavy snowfall. We crossed the silk route (gangtok - nathula, nathang, zuluk, padamchem) in the first week itself. So that news did make us tense after returning to our homes. Just a little advice, These northern Himalayan areas are safer to be avoided from Dec to February if traveling with parents/children.

I went there in december. But I create & upload video whenever I get time. Also, this is mostly for my personal (family & friends) use, so its not updated all the time. I have mentioned the date-time in the title itself & the month-yr in Playlist. Hope that helps.
