Rangerover P38 road test with trailer after engine repairs
I have a Kubota KX 41 V1. I’m having a problem when I lift the boom and simultaneously close or open the bucket. The boom stops abruptly and only starts lifting again when I stop moving the bucket. Any idea?
I was considering putting the wet brakes on IMT 560. If dry ones weren't that good on a original Massey, you can imagine how good they are on a licensed version of a Massey😅
Any manifold heater in that start?
No, when the aftermarket turbo was fitted, it done away with the cold start when the inlet manifold was changed.
Hi is that new kidney box genuine or non
Is it an opico turbo kit?
Sorry for late reply, no it's not opico turbo , not sure what make it is.
@@stuartpowe5577 thanks for getting back to me. If I ever spot one, I’d consider it for my tractor
I have one aswel , your tractor sounds just like mine
Pozdrav imam problem metal detektor
Did you get the trailer brakes working? What valve did you use?
There's no trailer brakes fitted to this tractor, but hopefully in the future we can get some fitted. The back end needs an overhaul on this tractor along with converting to oil brakes. So plenty of job's to go at.
@@stuartpowe5577 good stuff. Good to see she hasn’t been abandoned!!
Good stuff, how did the modification workout?
It works well, the wet brakes are much better than the original dry brakes
@@stuartpowe5577 that’s the job. Have you sent the serial number off to Massey Dave?
In her work clothes!! that's good viewing.
very nice, do you still have this tractor?
I do yes "till death do us part" Or bankruptcy whichever comes first😀
@@stuartpowe5577 Very nice Stuart, lovely old tractor. I bought one a few weeks back and it looks very like yours, but obviously not yours. Mine came out of the forest like your 1250 looks to have been there.
Massey Dave is putting together a register of all remaining 1200s and 1250s. He would be interested in yours for his list.👍
Aye it's on my to do list to send him the serial numbers.
Good work❤

I have 178 Massey Ferguson dry brakes and this help thanks
I also have a kx41-2 and just had the same exact bolt break on mine. I hope I have that much bolt sticking out on mine when I remove the cap. Did the bolt that wasn’t broken give you any trouble getting out? Great video by the way!
The other bolt came out easily yes. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching.
Great vid, do we get to see the catapillar digger in action?
Unfortunately I didn't get any footage in the quarry, hopefully I can get some in the future, but I'll have to get permission I would think. Many thanks for watching glad you enjoyed the video.
Awesome video!! Absolute beasts, hoping to have a go on one next year
What type of drum do you have in this chopper? V12 or V10?
It's got the v10 drum in this machine.
Love to see an old Perkins Rollin coal 💪💪
Aye! Proper old school, always puts a smile on faces!😀😀
Great engine, had four over the years two were awful starters but pulled like trains, the best way is fit an Iskra geared starter.
Thanks, will maybe try that if it gives any more trouble. Was it 4 1200's you had?
@@stuartpowe5577 no x2 699s and x2 399s,have a 6.354.4 in the shed I'm looking out for a tractor to put it in.
Nice tractors, still fit for a good days work
Did you go for a nap while it tipped ? 😁
😂😂 Definitely! You forget how slow the hydraulics were on these old girls compared to the modern tractors.
Massey power Love watching video 👍👍🇬🇧🇪🇦
Thanks Davy, pleased your enjoying our videos 👍👍
🤣🤣🤣
Old school 💘lovely
if you have something to pull , you need an old David Brown to pull it
Yes I'd say a david brown 1690 the equivalent too the 1200 mf ,would handle it better
had a 2620 one time ......had mighty traction but was gutless on the pull .............
Lovely sounding tractor
I have been looking at this excavator to buy. Do you think it is worth it? I have some acreage and some friends who may hire me for small jobs.
It's been a really good excavator for me, any issues it's had have been fairly easy to repair. It hasn't got alot of fancy electrics to give problems.
Massey Ferguson 👍👍👍
😎👌
super video
Nice 👍
Definitely done good was a different tractor after a good workout, stopped getting hot aswell.
Exhaust looked alot cleaner at the end of the video than the start, bit of work must have done her good.
What happens to the 1250 from Bolton fell peat works, it had quad tracks, tom french rings a bell
What a sad state of affers, good job someone is rescuing them
Da wird einem ja beim zuschauen schlecht, vor lauter wackeln
Sorry yes I agree, it was recorded on a phone and it was quite a windy day. Would be better with a go pro.
So is she the 4.6 V8?
No it's the smaller 4 ltr V8. I think there actually 3.9 ltr but classed as 4. They like lots of petrol!
The gearbox breather right above the starter dos`t do the starter any favours.

Hello, how i can talk with you?
Interesting to watch Stuart good machines I’ve got a 820 looks like you have spent a lot of money on it but no good broken
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video, they can take keeping on top of when they get a few hours under their belt.
They can fairly lucky with mine touch wood seems to be pretty good every where had to change the pulley that drives the accelerator had worn but not dammed the shaft luckily seem to keep getting build up of sugar in the accelerator which causes a bit of vibration at times mine has done 6700hrs but is reliable and goes well
Looks very expensive re build especially if the parts come from our local dealer
Very good
Yes they do brake on all 4wheels, most have dry brakes but some of the later ones had oil immersed brakes housed in each trumpet. I am hoping to fit trailer brakes onto this tractor in the near future and will hopefully be making a video if I can get them to work.
Thanks 👍
Just a quick question, I'm thinking of fixing up a 1200 and I'm wondering if you know the answer to theses two questions: can they be fitted with trailer brakes And are there brakes on all four wheels?
Big thumbs up
nice 👍😉
Thank you! Cheers!
