Honestly, I think Notion is not really the right fit for creatives. Notion is a better fit for left brained people, but for right brained people, who are more creative and imaginative, I think xTiles is a better fit.

To be really fair, I think it all depends on the context, I imagine that in a corporate environment a formal degree is more appreciated. I personally spent my whole career in startups, so I speak from this perspective, and degree in this world doesn't help, but it also doesn't make things worse. As a hiring manager, I honestly don't care if someone has a degree, the only thing that matters are actually applicable skills, and I always test for those. I loved my university experience, it was probably the time of my life I enjoyed the most, but in terms of career accomplishment I wish I started my career much sooner, honestly, I feel my 5 year of university set me back. But again, that's my personal experience and it all depends on the goals in life. I personally prefer startups over corporate jobs.

Yes! That's exactly the case and then at the end of the quarter the panic sinks in that all the important but not urgent things are not done. These weekly priorities helped me manage myself but also to help my team understand what they should focus on in a given week.

Yes! If you’re interested I’m doing 20 min Zoom consultations for free to help with questions like this. But essentially as a QA I started taking on product decisions on behalf of my team that the PM didn’t address. This means that any feature we worked on I started thinking deeper about user flows and how we’re doing connects with the overall user experience. I also started advocating for the users inside my team and user needs. And then I started thinking about the business side of product. I also made sure to take a lead as a product owner on the team. Since I already took on a large part of product work, when the position opened, it was an easy transition.

It was driving us crazy that Chat GPT was always down because of hight traffic, so David made his own LOL And product is great! Yes!!! Unfortunately I didn't track my own performance the first few years of my career. I started doing it recently. It's funny how we think that things haven't changed, but then when we see a list of things we've done, it paints a completely different picture.

Oh yes, I clearly don't have children :) I think the most important thing I wanted to highlight in this video is to plan your time and week in way that's aligned with your priorities. Of course, when you have a family, the family is the priority, so adding family activities in your calendar would be a way to make sure you actually make the time to spend with them. The calendar should work for you and what matters to you. My calendar is reflection of what's important to me right now. And this changes all the time. I hope this makes sense.
