I saw them last weekend and this was the one song I had hoped to hear - The show was amazing as always, and I had the most fortunate experience to see Ben after the show (No VIP) I asked him what was the inspiration behind this song.. he took time to look me in the eyes and ask me..."what do you think of when you hear this song".. I said "It makes me think of my sister who was murdered by her son, my nephew". He grabbed my hand and said "Then I did my job"... still holding my hand, he smiled and left an ever-lasting impression I will never forget!
Seems like some people focus a lot on his quirks and eccentricities, but anytime I've seen him in an interview or whatnot he just seems so gracious and humble.
I'm reading your comment and it's just giving me chills-that connection many songs, and music in general can make with us. If you have recently lost anyone close to you it reaches your inner soul.
Why does he sound like that? I wouldn’t say it’s bad but it definitely sounds off…almost nasally. I’ve seen BB live 3 times and they always sound great, something just sounds off here.
No matter how many times I hear this song, I will never get tired of it. It always gives me that feeling I want to cry when I hear it, and there have been times that I just broke down hearing it.💜💜💜💜
Seeing them with Disturbed in July. Really hoping this song gets preformed. It's a amazing track, live in person seeing this preformed has to hit different.
Ben Burnley was asked about the meaning of this song: *"I've come up musically listening to Nirvana and I absolutely idolized Kurt Cobain, and he always really was adamant about people finding their own meaning in what his songs were about," he told Billboard magazine. "So I kind of take a page from his book and do the same thing where I like people to drawn their own conclusions."*
Easily best song in my opinion. So different than the usual breaking Benjamin (entire dark before dawn album) but good god this song is filled with such emotion, passion, pain, determination etc… Ben’s voice never ceases to amaze me. The whole band is just awesome. Best of our time. I love this song and this band so much.
It’s just breathtaking! The depth of the Ben’s vocal is making me feel crawl 🥹. That is the moment when the live version of this song has absolutely the same sounding power as the studio one! Once again, Ben’s vocal is beyond any scales! ❤
One of my letters to GOD thank you Jesus for everything..I am so incredibly unworthy of it all .. how can you possibly still love me 😢 I am so grateful for you and am so sorry for everything JESUS IS KING thank you god for giving your only begotten son to save us in Jesus name I pray amen
Good lord 😓 this hits so hard I lost my dad back when I was 17 and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through, breaking Benjamin helped me through his passing I’m so thankful for them ❤
I had never heard this song before I saw them live for the first time. This song had me in tears in concert. Quite possibly the greatest live music experience I’ve ever had
I saw them live in the early 2000's when their career just took off...They opened for Shinedown that night...I'm 34 now and that concert was one of the highlights of my teenage years...I'll forever be a Breaking Benjamin fan...They are amazing.
This song was the only song that could calm me down when my great-grandmother was going through congestive heart failure. Now that she is no longer here, I take solace with this song. ❤
Listened to this in class hitted me close to home
Excelling live really!
He is with you forever the end!
His voice somehow reached and touched the bottom my heart
This song is so under appreciated. It's haunting how it captures so many emotions from loss of life to loss of love. I'm tearing up writing this.
This is the song that played when i proposed to my wife....she said yes... I would do anything to have this be my wedding song

Seen the live 2 weeks ago, it was so good. Watied years for them to come to Canada and was not let down. i'm already looking to go again!
Over gated snare... As a sound guy and drummer, I can't unhear it lol

There isn’t many bigger breaking Benjamin fans than me. Everything about their music is so perfect

Awesome song. Delivered perfectly! Love BB! <3
Live or recorded Benjamin has the voice of a fallen angel that has been through things and I feel like I relate..
This is so amazing, and makes me cry everytime. It's so amazing how a song can make us feel so much.
