It is a beautiful catio. The motion night lights would have to be for the cat owner's enjoyment, as cats have brilliant night vision, me thinks.

I use to have an enclosure but it felt small and confined after a few years so I ended up netting my entire yard with the Catnets its was way cheaper too only 700 dollars! my cat now have the entire yard and I made the arbor their jungle gym.

I love this!!! I have 7 cats, 3 full-size catios, 4 window catios, and more dull-size catios full of ramps, cozy sleeping spots up high, trees, etc, to come. I'm going to connect the big ones all together with tunnels. Five of my rescue babies stay in the yard, with a 4pm curfew, then the catios get locked, with kitty door access via windows inside our house. The cats are usually are in their catios anyway, with the doors open (until 4pm). One of my other rescues is a rebel who sometimes finds herself down the street (ugh), ignores the curfew, and is a brat, grrrr, so I did these catios for her. I wish I'd have done them sooner, as my other cats absolutely love them. She does, too, but she's a wild spirit who does what she wants (love. that. Except it's harder to keep her safe). My latest rescue isn't quite integrated yet, so she has a window catio in a spare bedroom, happy as can be, although I'm building a catio in a tree, connected to her window catio via tunnel, which she will love. We've got coyotes, bobcats, mtn lions, owls, harris hawks, and everything in between, as we live close to a preserve. How did you build your tunnels/cat walks? Do you have a step-by-step video on the construction? I like yours better than mine, aesthetically. I just used hardware cloth, and did triangular ones. I don't have them up yet, but will soon. The holes on that netting are too big. A wild animal can get his paws in it. He can't pull the cat out but he can kill him.

Really cool but as far as the lights - cats can see extremely, extremely well in the dark. It's in their nature to do night-time stalking and they would enjoy the catio more if it were not artificially lit.
