This is one of my favorite parts of the Downieville Classic DH. Super fast and littered with techy parts, makes for a great trail. Keep 'er pinned!

Braille Trail - Soquel Demo Forest
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.7 лет назад
Steep and deep! Braille Trail is located in the Soquel-Demo Forest and is one of the other trail options besides the widely popular Flow Trail. Braille is definitely more technical than Flow with quite a few steep sections and small wooden kickers to boost off of. Lots of fun! Great trail. Dude must be from some dusty hellhole. These are standard PNW riding conditions.
Any good places near Eugene for beginners
Do you think these trails are good to go at the end of May?
depends on what kind of spring the region is having - I have been on area trails in May and it was good, but it was after some dry weather and sunshine
That’s one of the best JMP edits ive seen! 🤘
Adam Vanwinkle thanks man!
Hi, I'm waiting for mine 2017 comp base model with monarch and yari suspensions. I weigh approx 94kg (with water, food, and equipment maybe over 100kg). Mine concern is what pressure should I optimally aim to. Could you share some info, please? Also, I alread ordered 2.5 minion dhf which I'll run using an inner tube. Cool video, good luck.
Eddie, your videos are awesome. Keep uploading. Good luck.
Probably the best mtb video I've seen so far. That Gopro karma really makes it noticable. I've chosen the base model. I'm already thinking about changing tires for a muddy/slippery rocks terrain and thought about maybe magic mary 2.35 in front and maxxis high roller 2.3 on the rear. Please, share some info/advices.
Thanks! I’ve been running maxxis minion dhf 2.5 up front and dhr 2.3 in the rear. I really like having the 2.5 up front for more traction and it adds to the 29ers ability to roll through tough terrain.
gloveless...daring
Not too bad with good grips!
What camera setup are you using? I like the footage.
Sandy Kavor GoPro Hero 5 with Karma Grip
Eddie Carata, Cool. The karma grip isn't in your way?
Sandy Kavor it’s actually not too bad. You definitely feel it there, but it’s manageable.
Eddie Carata, I bought the Sony FDR X3000 as it has optical image stabilization, but it still isn't match to gimbal. Unfortunately most gimbals aren't compatible with the Sony design. I want to get one.
lol at 9:30 - ripping dude this looks awesome
Matthew Wagner still one of my favorite trails to this day!
that's bad ass knowing that you've been to downieville and soquel and this is your fave - homie kris lives in eugene so this is on the short list of 2018 mtb trips ! but first... off to moab
big trees is ok. chaparral is lit and cinderella
Yep, that settles it... I'm going to Oakridge next year!
Huntstyle Definitely a must! And when you're up there, make sure you hit Lawler. One of the best trails I've ridden!
DUDE that was insane!!! Thinking about getting this bike what's it like in tight terrain and what does it say on the down tube if anything at all? Cheers.
Thanks! Coming from a 26 inch Enduro, I was kind of hesitant of going the 29er route because I just couldn't see how a 29er would handle well. But then I demoed it and I was blown away. Handles just fine in the tight stuff and is like a freight train downhill! Really confidence inspiring. I would recommend demoing one, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed. And it just says specialized in dark grey lettering on the downtube.
Cheers! Just want to say I absolutely love your videos keep it up!!! Just don't understand how you haven't got 1 mill subs already, you deserve it!
ZZ1452 Thanks, much appreciated!

It's one SWEET trail!
Chad Sageser One of the best trails I've done!
Just rode it yesterday editing video right now. If ya have not ridden them yet, check out Maiden Peak or Moon Point or Sawtooth some time.
Chad Sageser Nice, I'll have to check it out when you're done! And we didn't get a chance to ride those trails when we were up in Oakridge. But we rode ATCA, Lawler, and Larison Rock. Next time!
What is your gimbal? You did sick videos!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked them! My current set-up is the Karma Grip with the Hero 5. Works really well if you can get used to having the grip on your chest (which isn't that bad in my opinion).
