Playing songs that have a particular meaning for me and also writing originals.
A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall ( Bob Dylan cover)
This song goes way back. Along with Blowing in the Wind and Masters of War, it was the earliest of Dylan’s so called, “protest songs”. But it’s not a protest song. To me, it’s a song of awakening.
Written in 1962, America was still living mostly in the 50’s. Other than “the Beats” social consciousness and self-awareness consciousness had not happened on any large scale. It wasn’t until 1965 that The Voting Rights Act prohibited denying or obstructing Black Americans their constitutional right to vote. Women could not get their own credit card without a male co-signer until 1975. So, we’ve come a long way.

I loved Dani's additions! I wish I could hear you both playing/singing together, I can imagine a small concert in nature 💚 This song is so powerful, a healing song, medicinal music. It was that for me and still is. It works like a mantra. Is so powerful and brave to talk about shame (it rhymed haha), since its nature is to stay hidden. So this that you're doing of sharing the song with the world is huge! Thank you so much for this gift, it definitely changed me having this song.
I want to add another detail: Also because of the own nature of shame, it's like a secret for us, the ones who suffer from it.
