I'm based out of Port St. Joe Florida and I typically fish the Panama City/Port St. Joe area for inshore fish from a kayak.

Sorry I misread that, this is west of the nature coast, it’s called the forgotten coast and I mainly fish Port St Joe and Panama City!

I got a question, if the red will eat a fake rat lure; we have real little rats that look just like that lure. Can't you just put a real one on your hook.
Too hard to catch the little ones they’re slippery and before you know it you have 3 of em trying to get in where the sun don’t shine
The reds will probably eat it but the rat might not like it much! lol
@@Mark-l2y I’m jk but really this was just a reaction strike from the red fish. He just saw something on top of the water and decided he was hungry. I’m sure there has been a rat eaten by a redfish or 2 but probably a first for this one!
What lure were you casting?
This was a Z Man Swimmin Trout Trick in the Pearl Blue Glimmer color with a 1/4oz Trout Eye Jighead!

I typically use 10ib powerpro super slick braid with a 20ib monofilament leader

Hey man I am in Pensacola. Where do you launch from to fish St Joe's Bay?
My buddy showed me the spot that I launched in this video and made me promise not to tell anyone but there are multiple launch points on St Joe Bay, you can launch pretty much anywhere on constitution dr. Right across from iola st is a popular spot to launch. There’s also frank pate park which is a public boat ramp. There is a kayak launch on the cape San blas side right across from the rocks and a boat ramp at the state park out there. Hope this helps! Tight lines 🎣
Salt water fish eat fresh water lures but it can never be the other way around

Looked like an adult loggerhead sea turtle. They reach adulthood between 25 and 35 years and can live to be over 80yrs old. I was a Park Ranger and spent many mornings looking for and covering nests to keep predators out. Love the videos! Keep it up! 🤟💙🥰
