PB lap 1. I've gotten 17.3 lap 2s without much issue. Lap 3 was going pretty much perfectly until the wall bounces on the explosive finish. Overall I'm happy with the run despite having the potential to get sub 57.

100% run: 1'35"515 80% run: 1'34"503 Both runs set on May 27 2024 Trying out Big Fang to see if it needs to be buffed like Fire Stingray needed to be. Leaning towards not giving it any speed-related buffs. Goes to show what a difference having a good Drift Accel stat and slightly more acceleration has overall (when compared to 4.0 Fire Stingray). Pretty sure 80% is the way to go though the 100%...

Set on April 23 2024 Run was going well for the most part until lap 3, so I decided to go for the explosive finish, and I somehow pulled it off despite not getting the most speed with the MTS. With the Body stat buff Wild Boar has been given, I wondered how difficult it was to beat this chapter on VH. Basically, I don't think I can beat it without using advanced tech. The higher speeds of Blue Falcon gives you less time to take out the opposition. And it appears to be more difficult to out run them without abusing advanced tech. 40"893 - 32"011 - 30"796 Okay run. I was on a roll with getting good mines on lap 1 but it didn't happen on this attempt. This lead to a slow start to lap 2 but it turned out well otherwise. Tried to go for the shift boost before the jump on lap 3 but I messed up which cost me a good chunk of time. I can see myself getting a 1'41 in a strong run, with sub 1'40 only possible with the shift boost...

22"249 - 16"431 - 15"272 Decent run. Tough to line up the edge dash plates prior to the second tunnel section with its strong strafe. Didn't try to see if it can get MTSISBs. Maybe it can get the second one?

24"502 - 16"523 - 14"683 Reduced settings seems to be better for Rainbow Phoenix here. Didn't take too long to get this run so I'm sure there are things that could be done differently to improve the strategy. Though I'm not too sure about the MTS on turn 1 on boost laps for some reason.

Yeah it totally happened by chance, didn't mean to even be there. Maybe we should try driving over that part of the track with Fat Shark and other machines.

I hope that future updates will also consider the general usability of the patch. I think the one area where unleashed failed is the casual approach to machine, examples being black bull and wild boar. I could easily play them without using tech on regular GX and perform well, in the casual sense, but in unleashed they are a nuisance to drive because of how reliant they are on tech to perform. I think this is a big issue especially for more casual f-zero fans who might try the mod out.
This is an intentional design choice on my part from the moment I began conceptualizing this mod that I won't back down from. I fully expected to get this sort of feedback. Certain machines will only shine in the hands of a skilled player. Machines are primarily balanced based on their potential with advanced techniques. My main goal for this mod is to have a diverse meta. The other main goal is to make every machine and part be distinct and unique. At the same time, there are plenty of other machines suited for more casual players, and I gave such machines a big boost on their stats so such machines can better compete against much more skilled players using the meta machines in a competitive environment. And in specific courses, those more casual machines are in fact the best machines for those courses. In short, Unleashed is a competitive machine rebalance mod. It aims to close the gap between the top machines and the bottom machines. And given the nature of F-Zero GX's physics and mechanics, unfortunately, this results in certain machines to be lackluster unless you are highly proficient in this game. Check out Emarcee's rebalance mods at Gamebanana for machines that are rebalanced without taking into account advanced techniques potential.

So far from my experience it seems like 50-80% has been a good crompise for turning and grip once you get above 2k

I did it for the first time because I couldn't beat diamond on Master a couple days ago and it was pretty easy just use black bull and use triggers to slide back and forth and turn in the respective direction at the same time by alternating them, when you start doing it probably press both shoulder buttons at the same time because you need to be in a sliding state so low grip machines like black bull is the best. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT you need to have acceleration settings maxed out for it to be possible
