I've had my I5 SE for around a month and use it as a city car. I use level 2 regen and am getting about 4.7m/KwH. I haven't modified my driving habits. I've always had a light foot. 😎

I use Normal with Auto-regen since most of my driving is in town. Normal seems to give a smoother ride than Eco, IMO.

I find the auto regen (level 1) setting to be the best. It will automatically change the regen level between 1 and 3 according to your driving style and the traffic in front of you. If you let the foot off the pedal it will act like level 1 if there is a free road ahead but will gradually increase to level 3 when approaching vehicles in front of you.

All great tips. Mostly new to me. I learned the climate tip the hard way. Was struggling to make it to a charging point. Turned off fan just for comfort and gained enough mileage to make it. Whew. But the other tips are total bonus. Thanks so much. The price of electricity has gone up a lot in my state, so will be using all these tips at once!

My ability to deal with the auto lock issue has been greatly diminished since I learned that I can just push on the door handle and lock it. Now the keys stay in my pocket!

We got a new Ioniq 6 , and we have a tesla wall chager at home ( the white one), how can we still charge the ioniq using the tesla wall charger?

The outermost button, next to the camera button, is for towing - so the car doesn’t keep thinking the trailer is too close.😊

Talking about safety. Make your first move a safe one - reverse in so your first move will be forward, not reverse. Connection away from the road as well. Second point is: where do you expect to be able to plug in your charger when away from your home location? Not many 10kW outlets for that purpose.

It can b replaced by putting a big power bank in the car. And Mercedes running gasoline has power outlets too!

Is there a trick to disable the beep when you step out of the parked running car with the keys in your pocket? I dont want to have to turn the car off or put it in utility mode just to check my mailbox or help the wife load groceries into the trunk.
