I think wrestling has evolved from being able to just use the hard hand fighting for individuals that may be less talented. Not allowing wrestlers to wrestle there style and helping develop individuality seems to be why some programs with coaches that are trying to make wrestlers conform are struggling. A new era of coaches that has the ability to add skill to an individuals physical characteristics to suit them the best possible has come to age. This is probably why Buffalo went in a different direction shortly after this. Stutzman is a good guy hope nothing but the best for him and his family, but feel he listened to his athletes to late. The track story is funny Stutz was infamous for a 21 minute 3 mile or running 3-5miles in feet of snow all before morning lift.

Mason mentioned he was 230 a while back. What about now? Also when you mention Geno as a big wrestler.. Sure he's tall but he's pretty lean. That's why Zare always shoves him out of the ring

Any tournaments that are day before weigh ins are suspect. One weigh in for multiple days is just a cash grab. It appeals to the coach dads out there who have no problem having their kid cut 15 or so percent.
