heey it's a little late but do you know what battery the camera uses?
Hey, it uses standard 2x AA batteries (1.5V) :)
@@_analog_photo thank you so much!! I've been trying it and I don't think it turns on. could it be that it is broken or the camera doesn't work until I put the film in?
@@hexakey8107 It works without the film for sure. Try to clean battery contacts with cotton bud and some alcoholic vinegar on it. Then be sure that the batteries are new and on proper side. If that does not help - it could be that the cameras electronics are dead.

Hi Jake, I am glad that you find it helpful. I would recommend one of the cameras that are smaller than M, and with excellent optics: Olympus 35RC, Rollei 35 with Tessar or Sonnar (skip Triotar), Minolta HI-matic F, or something similar. Those 3 I have tested with many films, they are great.

for a first rangefinder film camera - yes. If you never used film camera before - I would recommend some SLR with auto focus first, something like Nikon F80 with 28-80, very cheap and easy to use.
Hello, do you have a lens hood that fits on this lens?
It is normal 40,5mm filter thread. So one can get generic lens hood with this thread on ebay from China (that is what I did).

With the white one, is the shutter meant to click? And is the winder meant to lock after winding to the next frame? I just got one and don’t want to waste a film roll finding out
Yes, and yes. Shutter is pretty loud, you should be able to test it without the film. Open a back door and you should see shutter opens when you click and look against some light.

Externally It is looks very similar to the Super Rokkor 50mm f2.8 , but with the blade numbers of the super rokkor 5cm f2 c. (10 blades). are nice lenses for aps digital cameras (on silver bodies with silver shoten adapter it looks very good). If someone could get for under USD 100 this topcor I really recommend you! If not get some Tomioka lense from 50s-60s (better the yashicas).
