It's funny how I see no trace of hate now from this movie, while back then, it was first released I always saw hateful comments regarding the movie. I mean, look at the movie, tho not perfect, but the essence of the story and Mulan's origin was still the same. And I luv it more bcuz it's different from the cartoon movie I know. Also, Liu Yifei suits the role, a little kind of setback from scenes, but still, a great family oriented movie to binge watch over and over again.

Ok , I'm old, out of touch somewhat and had never seen Mulan, the animated version or the recent movie, until today, though I have heard the song. I just streamed the movie on Disney+ and Christina's version, was ok, found she sang it more to hear her own voice, the runs and power and belts, took away from the meaning of the character. The Mandarin version sung by Yifei Lui ( actress that played Mulan) was beautiful and fit. I also watched her English version with the same orchestra and it was delicate and soothing , but Morissette Amon, who I have adored for the last 5 years , just knows how to deliver the emotion and accentuates the lyrics with power when required.
