Mom, I'm so proud of you :)
So inspiring!
It used to be that if you wanted your children educated, you invested in private school. Now, it seems that parents are having to move to home schooling because the awful curriculums and horrible teachers churned out by ideological programs in universities have now invaded private schools. School choice policies will begin to dominate state & local politics as more people wake up to the horrors of government-driven "education."
My son attended the Rainbow Room 1 year and it was arguably the best year of his life thus far. He thrived there and we were so grateful for the environment Emily provided our family with The Rainbow Room. This was a rich interview.
People are racist and don't want integration.
Jeez, I don't know... Can you tell me why it's a good idea to teach children that sexual distortion is perfectly normal? Can you tell me how this is a good idea for anybody other than the sexually distorted adults who want to prey on them?
Public education has failed DEMONSTRABLY. After several decades of warning, parents have continued subjecting their children to the soul crushing factory, because... "I can't. I don't have the patience." When it's really... "I don't want to sacrifice." Or, "I don't want my children standing out (or above) others in society by getting a quality individual education different from their peers." Choosing homogenization over a child's best potential to make the world a better place. 😐 It has taken good & great teachers to draw the line, quit, & start private tutoring or micro schools to start the real traction. Home educators have turned into entrepreneurs too. Like it or not, political ideologies embedded in the PES, teachers unions, & the abandonment of students during the Panic, pushed parents SO FAR that they had to choose home education, if even through gritted teeth. Not all, but many, have committed & embraced this ancient traditionally parental duty. And the VAST majority of the time, everyone is better for it. Children, parents, families, communities, country.
People are sickened by what they see public education doing to our children

Here in WA the homeschool 'market' has been pretty rich for a few decades. It ranges from families doing things totally solo, to parents being the directors of their kids' education and picking who their kids will be in front of. I administrated a homeschool group that held to a Christian world view and offered instructors and classes a la carte. The Classical model has a number of coops springing up and then re-organizing as family choices change. Flexibility and parent record-keeping are keys to success. Take lots of photos of activities and date and scan documents!
gotta keep and expand the ability for schools of choice in the USA>
What is the process to start a microschool in Texas i wanna start online and then get a physical location
Standardized testing is a useful tool for policymakers. It gives them data about large student populations at the district and state levels. Standardized testing is a horrible way to evaluate individual student progress. How a child scores on one measurement on one day should not be used in determining grades, placement, interventions, etc. There are many ways to understand student progress through authentic products and performances. Those take time to analyze. Schools use standardized tests because they're quick, they're easy to administer, and because somebody else (the testing company) does the scoring. That's profoundly disrespectful to the work of students.
I just wrote a paper on microschools and the regulations surrounding them, and was required to cite a certain number of peer-reviewed journal articles... it was like pulling teeth to try to find something that was helpful and relevant. We definitely need more studies! However... it's completely incorrect to say that 20 years ago, there was nowhere to go for homeschool resources or that no one had written books on it. 🤦🏻♀️They absolutely had. I read them... 20 years ago, lol.
Could you rent office space?
