I have seen articles saying how this part of Grimsby was notorious with crime etc…. Was this really the case and have things improved around the town overall?

Thanks Lhp me and my mom and dad wwre looking for homes 🎉
Could do with installing some FREE WIFI in their assisted living units Hinton court could benefict not just resident but staff as well bit this company do provide nice flats with garden views but the resident should NOT HAVE TO be their to let workman in warden should be able to do it same if fire alarm goes off
No explosive demolition due to high asbestos risk
Sorry, couldn’t stay awake any longer ?
This is so sad to see. This tower block and the other towers in Grimsby could have all been easily saved and refurbished instead of just being knocked down into a pile of ruble. Such a waste. Same fate happened to the Red Road flats in Glasgow. The country needs to sort out the issue of unnecessary demolition.
I will not support any business that promotes the carbon dioxide fraud and "net zero", a plan that will cripple us financially and achieve absolutely nothing.
3 months later still no volume for
To bad no volume 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Vídeo sem futuro nenhum horrível
the end of the 1960s vision of the future.... tower blocks were a failure from day one!
Why don’t we have fire engines 🚒 with a reach this high to put out high rise block of flats or office fire???
Demolire case nuove è in delitto
Alfred Nobel invented the dynamite in 1866. That's over 150 years ago. It looks like the demolition company has missed that.
I would want a refund, they only demolished half of it!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So this block was demolished, whilst the Grenfell Tower was rebuilt ... Typical UK madness of Theresa May and Boriski.
Incredibly bad video. Should be avoided.
I just love seeing these Monoliths knocked down, finally someone got some sense.
That campaign lot, 38 Degrees, started a petition, three years ago, to 'save Nelson House'. According to them, over 60% of the residents wanted to stay there. So, how many signatures did their petition get? TEN!!
Horrible job from the recycling company.
but, but, Dave Spud 😳
I was hoping to see it blown up!

Im strugeling with rent up was top up of 4£ a munth to 32£ what can i do?
Shame they do not have properties in Skegness or coningsby what are the filming rules I understand your are not allowed to take photos or film 🎥 in public areas of flats what are you allowed to film 🎥 or take photos in your privacy flat the rules are not clear
Should have dynamited it.
Can you make a place available like HINTON COURT but with WAY CHEAPER RENT there houses are expensive also if a place has a life rather that all residents pay only residents who live upstairs should pay for up keep of that lift and if you live in shelter housing you should have the option of getting your own TV licence not just giving money to the landlord LHP rent is expensive shame you cannot get landlord with a cheaper rent or options to life rent free
When i was a kid Freeman Street was a hive of activity. Packed full of shoppers looking for a bargain. People came from miles around to visit Freeman Street Market. My Nan bless her used to walk to the market from Towns Ground every single week just for the market. In those days you could walk down the alleys right from Manchester Street Cleethorpes to Ramsdens then the old Asda on Grimsby Road then to Riby Square. WTF happened?@
My family ancestry comes from Grimsby and Cleethorpes, including WW1 dead. Loving seeing these concrete monstrosities being removed from the landscape.
Thanks for showing a video of NOT Nelson House Grimsby Demolition.
The high rise flats in Grimsby were NOT on West marsh
All the comments about it being a bad area etc... pfff.. this was a good area compared to most in the country. Druggies yes, but there's plenty of them on the posher estates, Humberston for example.. plenty of muggings at knife point happen all over town but they never get a mention, merely because this area 'looked' like a shit hole. Shouldt not have ever been demolished. Could of house all of the homeless folk in grimsby and more but all they did was move people out into accommodation that didn't really exist. Could of spent the money demolishing them to actually refurbish them like all of the other flats got about 10 or 12 years ago. I worked for the council back in '08 when it was shoreline and they weren't tight with money and repairs inside these blocks. The lifts did always smell a bit pissy though.
My friend, you know by now that the ranks politicians and councilors abound with psychopaths who don't give a shit about the real needs of the people and the best way to serve them. Shakespeare had their number - "That one can smile and smile and be a villain, a damned smiling villain." (Somewhere in Hamlet).
I hope they removed the tons of asbestos before the knock down
What's the matter? Batt'ries go dead in your time lapse cam?
Next time, implode!
Implosion by those US guys, be faster.
Due to proximity of houses and a petrol station they couldn't use explosives. There was also a risk of asbestos dust, although it was supposedly removed long before.
The only thing that changed in the east marsh is the people. It used to be a reasonable place to live until it became sociably acceptable to not work and take drugs. Too many get everything for free and result neither respect what they are given nor themselves.... its a sad state of afairs when the hard working people have to support such dross....
Why is it not socially acceptable to take drugs?
Grimsby is on its knees. And all they done by taking these down is put all the smackheads all around us normal hardworking people. Should of kept them in there why taking the flats down. This town needs a massive clean up.
What a rude person you are. I lived in one of those blocks from 1964 to 1973 and everyone in the block knew everyone else, almost like a community. The only reason for the decision to demolish them was the new private sector owners realizing that they had bitten off way more than they could chew and took the easy way out. Many former residents, decent respectable people, stood and wept as they saw their former homes being demolished. You might consider yourself a "normal hardworking person" but you are also a total snob.
@@jimobasa525 I'm no snob at all. Just knew of many smackheads that lived there. + it was the perfect place to drug deal as the police couldn't see what was going on in there.
Should HAVE kept them in there
Living 5 years in Grimsby now. This is the best thing happened to this poor looking town.
That sky...people must have the most amazing views over the years...some sunsets and rises.....used to be a grimsby lass....rode down Freemo at 4.30am on my push bike on way to 'G ' factory via the docks...we had some fun in those days...I was a band saw operator....when Freeman street was busy...buses were packed....even for work...standing room only...everyone had a job....I hope it returns to the great days again...god bless Great Grimsby 👏🌸
I worked In E factory for a time in 66
@@barrytaylor760 ..yes a time is long enough...think I was 74 ...
Ok:)
Freemo is ghost sentral Just pop ghost box on and ask about the flats and cinama
Me looking at the clouds🧐🧐
It would have cost approx £300,000 to demolish it.
What a waste :(
