Congratulations to both you and Ian on your weight loss journey! I used to play a lot of those speed games - I'm just not fast enough anymore (over 70 years old). But, I did love those games.

I'm sitting in a dental waiting room watching you with my ear buds. I think I scared the business right out of the lady next to me when the laughter literally erupted from my mouth. You said "Ian has started showing himself a bit more". I died. Yes he has! So sorry, I clearly have the sense of humor of a child. 😂😂 Your stocking looks amazing. Can't wait to see it all finished next week.

Hi DENiSE, I too have my gallbladder out, like you it was bad. The pain. Was so bad. I cried, But do you know what the pain you have, before you have it out. It is so bad!!!!!! But when you have your gallbladder out , you will be sore, but not in agony like you have been, ask to see a dietitian to help you what food s you can eat, I hope this helps you.

You'll do fine with the surgery. I had my gall bladder out 30 plus years ago- recovery was fairly quick. Two very small scars - the surgery is done orthoscopically. I can no longer see the scars. Relax and enjoy simple knitting.

Hi Denise love the sweater you are knitting for Christmas! I too had my gallbladder out in October 2019! I was worried about scarring! But the surgery was done laparoscopic ! So I had three tiny incisions one at the top of my ribs one in my bellybutton and one lower down on my stomach! The only scare I have left is the one in my bellybutton! The other two are little red marks that look like a mole or freckle! It took my about a week to feel better ! I was told not to run , work out and I could throw the ball or a stick for the dog ! The time period they gave me before resuming running or working out was 6 weeks ! This is when I started knitting again after about 20 years of not knitting or crafting! You will be fine and think of all the crafting time you will have ! I am sure Ian and your sister Casey will look after you and help with meals and house work 🧹

Denise I had my gallbladder out 6 years ago and mine was on an emergency and it took me 2-3 weeks to recover but only because I got an infection in my main wound which is your belly button once that cleared I went back to work and my scares are gone, I had 3 small wounds………belly button, front of stomach and between your boobs where your bra sits. As for food I was fine and could as normal. I’m sure you will be fine as it’s done by key whole surgery and heals quickly. I love your red tee it’s beautifully 😊😊😊😊

Hi Denise, I was eating 2 slices of toast an hour after my gallbladder surgery. Please don't worry , it's keyhole surgery . I only had 3 tiny little lines and they heal very quickly. Don't be fooled by the big plasters there's very little underneath. You will feel tired for a week afterwards so be kind to yourself. I have been able to eat everything but if I eat too much I feel it . Best advice is listen to your body and you will be fine x

I can’t imagine how upsetting it must have been seeing the sorrel come out like that. Hopefully the new yarn will be easy to add in. The colours go perfectly. I’m just quickly trying to finish my advent project from last year before December 😂

You only need to take your cross stitch out if it has been stitched near or under your hoop, so it doesn't effect your stiches under your hoop

I had gall bladder removal a few years ago and it's been such a relief, the recovery took a little while but wasn't too bad so fingers crossed you get your appointment soon. Also, you're never too old to colour your hair lol. I'm turning 50 on Friday and I'm about to go from turquoise to magenta 😂. x Kim x

I am glad you are managing to save your beautiful Summer Sorrel, hope you will love the new end result! And good to see your cross stitch too - the past year or so for me has been all about the cross stitch (still make the occasional amigurumi or socks)

Ooh Denise i feel your pain with the Summer sorrel ,i knitva beautiful blanket /shawl for my newborn granddaughter im melbourne and as i wa staking it there myself i decided to give it a quick wool wash and wjen it cane out of the machine in a sea of fluff it had felted ...it took me a long tine to knit and i was literally in tears for hours and then cursing myself for not checking . It was a drops nord, too! I am making abother one but this time im doing it in a beautiful cotton as this other new baby is due in April next year . Thanks for abother lovely vlog this week x

Dear Denise, anything you do is fine whether life stuff, or crafts , we feel we know you although you are across the ocean and whatever you post is wonderful!! Good luck with your appt, you are still finishing so many projects . I am doing the Lento sweater which I think is an amazing design in La bien Aimee merino 4ply and kumo, so expensive but I want to see if it comes out in that or just use a single bulky strand , I’m looking at Farmers Daughter, if you know anyone who has made it , let me know😂😂 until the next!!

It made me laugh you and Ian talking about the yarn shop when you were in your car , sounded like my husband and me. He tries to be interested but I can tell his bored silly !!! We went to Las Vegas for my sons wedding and I decided to go to a yarn store. The Uber driver dropped me at a small precinct miles away and left but the yarn shop wasnt there. I had no internet or able to make calls so I had to walk to a McDonalds for wifi as none of the shops had pu,blic wifi. Oh i was panicking i would never find my way back to the hotel. I got back eventually $40 poorer and no yarn!!! Husband was like why did you need yarn anyway you have loads at home! But I wanted some local or American yarn 🤐

Visions of my Mom rolling her top in a towel then kneeling on it with her knees. First time I saw her doing it I asked her why she was rolling around on the floor. I was maybe 2. Memories lol

My Mum and Stepdad lived in Malta for about 15 years and so it was great to see so many places I recognise. They lived in Bugibba and Qawra. The Roman Road walk was quite a regular walk for us, we would walk to Golden Bay and then get the bus back. It looks like you had a very busy holiday xx
