@@GypsySheryl Yeah, mate. I called the Den the day Jasper crossed the coast. It was pretty calm then. But jeebus, it rained! I remember Ita and the other one and how long we were out of power up Bloodwood Road. And how much water flowed past the Den then. But this was on a whole new level.
Travelled north from South Australia and Stayed at Point Archer, Lions Den and Wujal Wujal 12 months ago to the month before heading further north. This is unbelievable!!

Evacuations happened.. But I am hearing it'll be moved for 2024 but nothing to do with the floods

That's unbelievable. I know the area and it's just amazing to see that amount of water.
Forty plus years ago this was usual wet season weather, we knew to prepare for weeks, sometimes months of being isolated.. It was also where it was a days trip down to Cairns shopping not just a few hours like nowadays
