14:15 - No missiles in Paul's time. "Missiles of the Spirit" sounds pretty neat, though!
I find it amusing that prison guards have to repent, too. Too many my of them in real life are as bad or worse that the people they guard.
18:25- He's a lumberjack, but he's not ok.
Haha. He definitely isn't okay!
Those real life motorcycles have impeccable timing.
Trivia: Deutoeronomy was the second most cited book in the New Testament, trailing only Isaiah. 14:56 - Very tricky, because he said that to the Chorinthians, but wrote Galatians because that was already happening in Galatia.
:)
A Centurion was a commander of 100 in the Roman Empire. He impressed Jesus because he knew that Jesus did not need to be physically present for work a miracle.
Thank you. I appreciate it. I would love to play more of these games. I'm great at video games but have a lot to learn in my Bible trivia
That was a nail-biter.
It sure was. Thank you for watching!
Select pause, then hit Up+A+B to warp back to the home town of Jova
Thank you. That will help as I get used to all the options and settings. I love all the sprites for playable characters
You can break blocks with the nail, which you got in the first town. 😁 some of those empty rooms, you can whip the back wall and break those blocks.
Ahh, you figured it out 😂 Fun series, I'm very much enjoying it
Thank you very much! This game is awesome. I randomized enemy hit points at first but it truly was a grind just trying to level up. I had to make it easier on myself haha
The in game audio was glitched after 26 minutes. Hope you enjoy the Ocarina and Majora's Mask music inserted.
Except All Story Scenes of All Four Houses in Haunting Starring Polterguy (1993)
This based. I'm glad you appeared in my feed
Thank you. I appreciate hearing that. Hope you enjoyed.
13:50 lol I was like what how. Then I reviewed the play I think it was just barely over
Yeah this game is wild. Always something wacky going on with the calls, or the players. Random chaos at all times haha
You beat meteriod in 52 minutes 😮
Thanks. 36 minutes is my best all-time. I didn't give myself much time for preparation and practice runs to get this video up for Halloween
Excellent run! I really enjoyed your commentary as well. I was recent doing a blind playthrough of this game and was recommended your video. Your inventory management and concise navigation is really impressive. Nice work! I did complete my nearly-hint-free (that darn empty treasure chest) playthrough after 36 hours and 15 minutes of attempts. Good game!
Thank you very much. That is great to hear. So I'm guessing you didn't have the spider invincibility trick when you played. When I saw that in someone's video I had to revisit this game I used to play but never got close to beating from how difficult it can be. Best of luck to you and thanks for the comment.
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe You're right! No invincibility for me, so every attempt with played with patience and careful movement. It took a long time, but totally worth the effort IMO.
Hey! Great to see people finally running this game! I was wondering if you guys knew about a glitch for this game that involves you getting hit by the butterfly and then walking backwards into the pirate? When you do that, you glitch through him and fall through the ramp and down a screen and die. When respawning, you end up in a glitched state near the graveyard and cannot pick up any items, and any items you drop are lost forever. However, to clear this, you just go up to the graveyard but instead it will think you're entering the barrel ride, so it'll take you there instead and you go through the barrel ride as normal and pop out where you normally would. I can't think of a way to make this useful but perhaps you could figure out a way, if one exists?
Thank you Not Sid. I do know about it and I also have no idea how I could use it for the speed run. Hopefully there is something to it or another out of bounds room somewhere else to find. I know jumping backwards in the barrier of zakks Castle is interesting but also can't find use of that. If you can let us know of any other tricks. I would like to see the game get below 50 minutes this year.
【p】【r】【o】【m】【o】【s】【m】 😴
Damn man, you should play the Genesis version. The tower climb is free compared to this. I never knew that this was the same game. Makes me wonder why they removed the Barrel trip down the stream on Genesis.
Great run. I was trying to run it a couple years ago and ended up with a very similar route to yours, except picked and used the axe earlier. And i didn't know the river shortcut. There is another one further down the river, that one i knew, but not the one you used. Are there any other little known secrets like that one?
Thank you so much! So there is a Glitched room if you jump into the pirate standing in front of the ship. You must be walking backwards from a butterfly and you will fall off the screen. It has to be just right so give it a few tries. It doesn't seem very helpful but it's cool and I feel like something good could come from that.
feels like my TAS has been a little disrespected, time to work on it again i guess :P great run overall! even with all the atrocious bird luck. i wish i actually had a route back in the day... but now i can just base mine off of yours!
Hey Fuan! Thanks a lot. I based my first speedrun off your video. And then Frankoko blew my time away. So I used most of his and a few things of my own. Goodluck. I would love to see a run under 50 minutes if someone can discover the next time saving route
Is there a way to preserve backward walking (for dragon). It just randomly wears off after some time for me and I need to reset the run. Loading state show it's not related to time, so should I just count on luck and run to the mines as fast as possible?
I've always gone based on luck. I've had a lot of success with it thankfully. The setup for the dragon skip when walking forward is fairly easy too if you lose the backward walk. You can still avoid a reset if practice the forward skip
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe thanks. will practice
Best of luck to you! Frankoko uses the forward skip on speedrun if you were looking to watch a video of it. And probably the tas video on RUclips
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe I just did it on my own. Now I will check how better is the Frankoko's or TAS method :p
Yup, he did it exactly the same
04:04?
Haha. It was looking like a reset after that lost time.
You got me thinking about another thing about that rope swing at 14:35: Since there's no star on the far right in this version, wouldn't it be faster to swing back to the left immediately after you start the swing if you're not in serious need of the pear on top? That hook has two swing points, but since this is the NES rope with the manual control, you wouldn't even need to dismount to turn back and jump over where you started.
Nice. You are absolutely right. That is a great idea. Easy to do and should save about 3 seconds. Thank you
Save about 5 or 6 seconds if I do your idea and no pear at all. That's awesome
:3
greetings friend, from tomorrow I start playing <3
Hello friend. Thanks for stopping in. Best of luck getting a good time and I look forward to your videos
Cool, you're back!....you already thought in speedrunning The Messenger?
Thanks Flpstrike! It's good to see you! I've never played The Messenger but it looks really good. That's a great idea. Maybe I will this year
Such a wonderful run. It has been a nostalgic 'over-one-hour' journey to me :) your commentary is hilarious and I look forward to another awesome runs!
Amazing comment for you to leave. Thank you. My gameplay is never the best. I'm happy when someone can watch my speedrun and have a good laugh. Especially since this one was over an hour long.
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe I know how it feels when you try to speedrun an old, niche game. I used to have a go with "James Bond Jr" on NES many years ago and eventually gave up as I couldn't find the optimal strat and felt like it's worthless since no one would watch it. I'm glad you don't follow the same logic :) do you also stream? It would be amazing to watch some of your attempts live.
I had fun with this one. I used to think I could get a good amount of views on my videos. But now I know better haha. Honestly even one person enjoying my video means a lot to me. And no I don't stream. Probably won't have a setup anytime soon.
Dang. Nice run -- this is a tough and sometimes frustrating game. Fun though - really interested to see where you take this run ... congrats on the WR!
Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words. I will definitely take it down by a few minutes this summer. Congratulations on your Micro machines WR.
I'm thinking you could get immunity to the ceiling drops by hitting Select while healing with the diamonds. I'm also thinking that when you're ready to perform a pixel-perfect jump, you could start holding the direction during a straight-up jump, then keep holding A with the direction so the next jump starts immediately instead of risking moving first. But you're probably right about JSR mislabeling the birds as bats. XD I want to say the damage glitch was discovered by the Polish Dizzy fandom. Dizzy9v2 put out a video explaining it recently!
Nice. Okay I thought you could save your glitch if you press select while eating fruit. Thanks for the name for who discovered the select trick. It's a real game changer. Are you going to be speed running this game?
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe I thought about it... I might just try one of the routes I've been doing in making my version comparison page this month, since I can't perfectly adapt my old Fantastic Dizzy route to NES without the unconditional second mine entrance anyway.
I look forward to a video from you. Mine is not optimized at all so I can definitely learn a lot from watching others run this game. Best of luck to you
Epic. Nice run.
Thanks man. Appreciate it
I only managed to complete the PSP Sequel
As always thank you for the support! Episode 2 absolutely destroys me haha.
That last level from Double Dragon is another example of bad level design, that crap of wall traps are horrible.
Wall trap crap! I should have used that. Yeah that part of the game was so unfair. The game was difficult enough and I enjoyed it so much. But I was lucky to get to the final mission with a remaining life, and the you lost all of your health to the wall.
Hey!, Thanks for mentioning me, when I saw the "Multiplayer" in the title, I already expected issues on nintendo switch's online xD That Golden Shower joke on a Mario Maker video made me laugh xD
You were exactly right! It can be annoying finding a match without lag. And thanks for sticking around watching these goofy videos. I do appreciate it!
I hate so much the level design of many levels in this game, and when you get a game over, and have to continue from 6-1, that kind of bullshit was made just to make the game longer and annoying
I agree. However at least they gave you unlimited continues. Not that it mattered when I played this back in the day. I could never beat it. And at least they didn't do what ghosts and goblins did and make you beat the game twice
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe I only completed the GnGs for PSP, best one on my opinion
Nice video, King!... I was playing the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for Super Nintendo before watching your video
Thank you. I didn't like that game at all compared to the NES originals. What did you think of the SNES Trilogy?
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe Sorry for taking this long to answer, the SNES Trilogy's Controls are not perfect like in NES, but there is improvements in graphics, and some changes to difficulty in one of the games I think
Did you already tryed playing the famicon version (Castlevania 3 from Japan, it is a lot easier, and a better game overall)
No I haven't. I'm not even too familiar with the famicon. I've only played the NES US versions of all these games
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe Well, why wont you try to speedrun the famicon version? it has better OST by the way, and Grant is stronger too
Hey king, nice one!... first time I completed this one, was on my New 3DS XL, and I had a bad time fighting the last boss
It took me years to finally beat this game. And the first time I was stuck on Dracula for over 2 hours. I was up way too late that night.
This game is just a poor man's Rondo of Blood
It really is. I love Castlevania and I still haven't played Rondo yet. I bet I'm really missing out. I've only seen videos of it.
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe Well, there is Rondo of Blood for PS4, PSP (hidden extra for Dracula X), and there is a port of Rondo of Blood for Windows, but I hated playing it with a keyboard, I still need to try it using a emulator
Hey, I have a question! Here is it: You're playing using what emulator?
It's an emulator. I don't know what it was done for me. I own about 120 original NES carts. But I don't know how to record off of the old consoles
I'm gonna play this later too, and do you will do Speedruns of games like Tomb Raider 3 for PS1/PC?, also.. there is a forgotten game for PS1, that not a single person ever did a complete speedrun, it's called Dragon Valor
I've only speedran NES and SNES games. I used to love tomb raider but it has been forever since I played them. I don't remember Dragon Valor. I like plenty of PS 1 titles but I'm not very good at them.
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe No problem if you don't do PS1 Speedruns, and will you play Hack Roms for NES/SNES?
The only Non original NES, SNES games I m really into is like the Zelda randomizers. Link to the past randomizer is something I would love to try.
You know what? I hate this game, worst crap that Capcom ever did.
I pretty much have to agree. The Capcom games are almost all very good. This one is a bit too rough.
@@KingPiNs_PlayHouSe The PSP sequel is the only one good
Seymour thots, if you're watching, this ones for you. Thanks
