Hey, what would you say is the biggest difference between the 1723 bookshelves and the monitor? How do they compare to the 1961 tower? I am looking for new front speakers in a small room. Thanks for the demos of the speaker!
Hi. Are you planning to use the system for home theater or hifi? Because the size 1723 monitor is not very discreet. Hence, if your room is not very big, it may look giant inside. 1723 Bookshelf THX will be more room-friendly. Sound signature wise they are pretty similar but it will require to use with a subwoofer if you want the best performance. As for 1961 Tower, big sound in compact cabinet. It will perform very well for your situation as well. So it's matter of considering the cost and space you have. Good luck
How are the surround speakers? Any thoughts on them vs the regular bookshelves?
the surround soundstage is big compare to just monopole speaker.

It what you get for what you paid for. Do not expect performance of those in thousands dollar more...but it's good enough for daily listening...
