Scout 2 Mission 1

Scout 2 Mission 1 launched on August 17th 2024 in Hutchinson, Kansas. The goal of the launch was to test the launch pad, (PAD B) and to test the rocket that used new designs. The launch was a failure, the engine came out the top of the rocket because the engine mount design was a failure. We are improving this with TRISAT VIII (8). Pad B failed at the end of the launch due to a fire. New launch pads are being worked on. We are also testing out commentary at the end of our videos, please give feedback!

The Static fire went successful in the way of the rocket survived and could launch with an E engine, But Pad A met its demise due to a loose launch rod... RIP Pad A and its short glory. Pad A will soon be replaced with a more safe, and efficient launch pad that won't (hopefully) catch on fire.

Pad A 2nd Static fire lead to a failure in the support of the pad, leading to needing repairs. The Static fire was held on July 14th, 2024. It since has been repaired and is ready for the next static fire.

PAD B Static Fire Test 2

The other day July 13th 2024 I Kyle Mills static fired an B6-6 Rocket motor on PAD B to test the structural design with a more powerful engine. The test was a Semi Success with the motor staying down on the pad for the full duration but the pad suffered moderate damage and had to have a design change. A third test is coming soon in the coming days.

PAD B had its first ever static fire the other day, July 10th, 2024. The static fire goal was to test the structural design of the pad. The static fire was a semi success with the engine staying down during the firing, but the pad suffered minor damage and the goal is to suffer no damage. More firings are coming soon on PAD A & PAD B

Kyle and I, have been busy. But we are back, and we are testing launch pads to better the future of Atlas Aeronautics. The other day (Friday, July 12th, 2024) I created a test vehicle that held a C6-7 rocket engine. The test was a failure, I had to repair the pad afterwards. Our goal is for a pad to last through static fires and launches. This design failed.
