Convocation is a campus-wide event that officially opens the college and marks the beginning of the academic year. Professors come in wearing robes and the President makes a speech. Students, if they attend, sit with those from their houses and dress, if they want to, according to the theme of the house. Each house has it's own theme and is picked by the current HONS (Head Of New Students).

"The Scream" is an event that happens at night before the week of Midterms officially starts. People run out of their houses and scream to relieve stress and decompress. Often times, houses will meet before hand and go out together.

The Quad Riot is a spontaneous event that happens if the students collectively believe Mountain Day should, or should have already, happened. Mountain Day is a day in fall chosen by the current President when all classes, except night classes, are canceled. Common activities that occur on Mountain Day are sidewalk chalking, apple picking, and going to local parks.
