Control air

From the same scavenge system right after the air cooler and just before the Scavenge box or stuffing boxes, but NOT in any case from engine room air.This way as the blower starts it causes suction which helps the T/C to increase its RPM and provide more air, so it does two things- improving air to engine and bringing up RPM of T/C and finally of M/E..

It does not maintain back pr but the interface position( that's it function).

Dear sir, to my knowledge the heated or expanded gas returns back to compressor suction but the during suction it overpasses to c/case as it is at a considerable high pressure which the piston rings fail to contain unlike in M/E or A/E where it is managed to be arrested by much higher extent against passing over to c/case side due to the carbon deposits which do the job almost like sealed rings which is not seen in A/C or Fridge compressors where there is almost nil carbon deposits.That's why the c/case in A/C or fridge comp are pressurised at same pr as suction pr which of course helps the comp protect from liquid being sucked.

Yes you can, in fact whenever a drydock is done the deflection is to be taken before and after DD and efforts to be taken to minimize any differences by adjusting them with bearing adjustments.

It is paring disc which does the work of accumulating all the fluid (H.O, D.O or L.O) reaching the topmost point on being pushed upwards by more and more purified fluid subsequently and this accumulating fluid has to be cleared from there. So the path or way out for the accumulated fluid is through a pipe which you mean are referring to and will be guided all the way right up to the storage tank or service tank. It is exactly like a funnel but inverted.

1-Overload due to excessive feed means either more throughput than recommended by maker, secondly the low temperature of feed which making the incoming colder feed very heavy for the motor to maintain the required RPM and so consumes more Amps to maintain the RPM, thirdly overflow in which case the purifier has to perform two works one is purification and another is throwing out or proper to say pumping out the overflowing fluid.And another reason is easy to guess and common which is worn bearings offering resistance to rotation, next is wear and tear in purifier for which there develops some play in bearing housings so wovling of bowl or even the motor can make it to draw more current, there can be many other reasons too, like if duplicate spares are used their mass is not same as original then also overload will take place or the required RPM will not be achieved and u will have to compromise either to reduce feed rate or to replace spares frequently.
