Hi, do you happen to know where I might find a guide to do a full teardown and rebuild on one of these? I picked one up on ebay for very little but I want to give it a proper overhaul. I have a parts list but want to do it properly! There's loads of info about the newer SB- Plus but very little on these older brushes.
@@alun7006 I don't know of any teardown of the older deluxe airbrushes specifically. Let me know if you find one.

@@alun7006 no worries at all. At some point, I'll do a Iwata HP Deluxe breakdown. I have the sb as well as a bunch of HP-C's.

Good sight is one thing but you have a truckload of patience with the detail in your work!
@@manicairbrush4395 thanks Manic. It is definitely trying to be in the right headspace from the start with these. I've said it in the videos a couple times. I'll never take a commission on one of these. There is a lot of hours to cover before it is done.
Hi Steve, I'm enjoying this journey with you. Watching this has made me start painting smaller sizes. Just wondered your opinion of using technical pens to put in fine details. I've been using rapidograph pens off and on for many years.
@@kenbarton3136 Ken, thank you, that is awesome. My quick answer is 100% yes. Anything that you can use to get the effect that you are going for is on the table in my book. We can get into the weeds on the specifics on my love/hate with technical pens but that is another story. 😄

Is that really done on a razor blade? Holy shit! That's quite crisp and clean with a lot of detail. I'm impressed.
Thanks! It is a standard size blade. This one was primed with self etching primer and then paint.

Looks awesome as usual. I see you're using the Kafka script liner brush. All the Kafka brushes are really nice, although I mostly use them for pinstriping type work.
