“Sometimes I have loved the peacefulness of an ordinary Sunday. It is like standing in a newly planted garden after a warm rain. You can feel the silent and invisible life.”
― Marilynne Robinson, Gilead
I have wanted, always, to share the sweet and quiet things I love. Small things, beautiful things. Things that take time to grow, time to mend, time to make. For twelve years I did not have time. And then suddenly―I did.
On an ordinary Sunday, after the rain, I started making things again.

Absolutely fantastic video! So calming. You did a great job on this miniature.
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it ❤️
That was beautiful. Both your miniatures and the story you wove. You are a talented artist and a wonderful writer.
Thank you so much 💕💕💕
The moment you mentioned plaster, I, alone in my room, shouted "stipple that goop!!" because I watch Studson all the time. Suffice to say I was very surprised and very happy to see you reference him only a few moments later.
Awww hahaha Studson's amazing! Stipple that goop!!
Sadly the text moves on so fast, I did not have the time to read. But I love your work of art. So cute, cozy and warm. And I love the imagination of victorian ages.
Thank you for watching and commenting! I'll slow down the text in the next video 💕💕💕
the amount of work put into the flooring alone is already driving me insane, am i strong enought to endure the whole video?
Awww hahhahaha this comment made me smile!! The floor was fun (❁´◡`❁)
This video made me feel exactly what I was feeling watching Violet Evergarden
Ohh that's been on my to-watch list!!
oh my god, the second i saw the wallpaper i said to myself so excitedly "the yellow wallpaper..!" and then you mentioned it!! this fine lady is much happier than she in the story... it's hard to find figures in the walls when there's so many lovely intellectually stimulating pieces of literature surrounding you:) and you surprised me so much saying you're pretty simple when it comes to props.. your pieces burst with detail and personality! you painstakingly create drawers and cupboards of stones and maps that get closed up! i really admire that, adding details that only you or a person who saw the video would know about that no outside spectator could recognize.. your dedication to storytelling and creating things truly for the love of it are inspiring
ohh you're the first person to recognise the yellow wallpaper!! it's true, with so many books to read there isn't time to look at the walls... thank you for watching and leaving such a lovely comment, reading this made me so so happy (& reassured me about a lot of the details) (❁´◡`❁)
this video reminds me of an old friend who i wrote letters to when i was younger. she loved to quote her favorite authors and old literature and poetry. it was silly how we sent each other letters when we saw one another at school each day, and now that we're miles apart, we've lost that form of communication. i should write to her again. thank you for the beautiful stories.
That is so sweet! I used to do that with my friends too, but it's probably been a decade since I've written to them.. thanks for the reminder of those old beautiful habits 💕
Это великолепно! Excellent!! Потрясающая миниатюра, чудесные материалы, глубокое понимание и чувство вкуса автора. Мне очень приятно познакомиться! ❤
Мне тоже очень приятно познакомиться! Спасибо за просмотр и комментарий 💕💕💕
I would buy your butterfly sheets if available. I wouldn’t even begin to know how to make something so perfect………
Go for it! I'm sure your project will turn out lovely 🌹 The butterflies are available for the $9 tier on my Patreon here! www.patreon.com/posts/93665599? Thank you for watching and commenting!

I just love it ,your so talented and patient wow great job .I would luv to c more from you.god bless and thank you so very much .👏👍✌️🙂🇨🇦
Thank you for watching and commenting, I'm working hard on the next video now 💕🇸🇬
Speechless! Perfect...master! Thank you!
Wow, thank you!
That wallpaper was so nice. How do you achieve this light warm editing light?
I film in the natural light from my window :) Gear is listed in the video description, I use Da Vinci Resolve for editing and only apply the default LUT Black Magic Gen 5 Film to Extended Video.
@@mminmakes love your miniatures too. I want to learn making just like you. So perfect.
Lovely work 😊
Thanks a lot 😊
This is lovely, exactly what i want to fall asleep to. I like how you just chat, it's like we're having a pleasant conversation 💚💚💚
Thank you! When I watch this video back myself I always fall asleep by the cabinets ❤️❤️❤️
Watching your video was so soothing and pleasant. I've just started building room kits myself as a way to recover from the stress at work and channel that energy into something productive. I've purchased this kit and I hope that my attempt is half as beautiful as yours when it arrives <3
Go for it! Making miniatures is therapeutic.. It's a beautiful kit and I'm sure yours will turn out beautiful 💕
So much effort went into this. As if she was making this for the Borrowers. I feel like there's less effort even in anctual building that we use.
Aww thank you! I definitely put more thought into this than my actual room 😂
The most soothing craft channel along with another I found. Thank you for sharing your talent 🙏🏽💓

Just a random thought, but perhaps you could make doorknobs from stud earrings? It might not work for all builds, but I think it could be used on some pieces. This is such a cool looking project!
That's a good idea! Thanks for the tip~♡
MÁXIMA BELLEZA!! Gracias.

I love your narration so much ❤ also, hey, fellow Studson Studios fan! Can I ask, how did you make the butterfly sheets such good quality? What software did you use? I want to print tiny things for my miniatures but don't know how without losing quality
Hello 💕 I use Inkscape, it's a free vector program. Open a new document and make sure it's the same size as the paper you're printing on. For me, it's A4. Set the quality to 600 DPI. Then copy and paste your images into the document and resize them. When I'm done I export as PDF for printing. Make sure to set the quality at 600 DPI when exporting! For reference, regular print quality is 300 DPI, and online viewing quality is like 96 DPI. For printing miniature stuff I find that 600 DPI gives the best results. Hope that helps!
@@mminmakes thank you so much for the detailed explanation, this is incredibly helpful!! I hope you have a lovely day 🥰
@@glowmilk7948 Most welcome! wishing you a wonderful day too 🥰
Your work is really beautiful, but i also loved reading what you had to say!!
Thank you so much 💕 This is motivating me to finish the video I'm working on now!

This is so relaxing and beautiful to watch!❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love falling asleep to these kinds of videos 😅😅
Same.. I fall asleep to my own videos 😴😴😴
This is such a lovely build and video,I’m so looking forward to your next video
Thank you so much! I'm hard at work editing right now so hopefully it'll be done soon 😂
Beautiful model. The books are cool. Your details are accurate and fantastic. How long did this take? I don't know if I could have the patience to try it. Also what scale? Looks like 1 12th. Have you made a figure to add to it? Also making a whole house with the rooms. Spectacular work.
Thank you very much! It's 1/12 scale, though I think the walls are a little short 😂 It took me about 6 months to make... I don't have any plans to make figurines or a whole house for now. Thank you for watching and commenting ❤️
만드는 과정 하나하나에 정성이 느껴집니다. 요즘은 정성이 제일 큰 재능인것 같아요.

i think you would really enjoy listening to alan moore's jerusalem...
Thanks for the rec!!
you could have used real moss and watch how it does or doesnt take the place over : )
oh gosh I actually love terrariums and mossy things
Butterflies craving blood, sweat, and tears is a rather disturbing mental image 😂
I know.. it was so fascinating to find out about it !
is there a brand that makes this? is the original build available online for purchase

Thank you <3 Give yourself a hug today!!
i cant find the strip cutting tool in the linked items?
It's this one! (amzn.to/3TSTA6K) Mini review: it's meant for cutting leather and I've found that it works better with slightly thick but soft materials (eg leather, foam sheets, chipboard) With wood veneer as thin as the one I'm using it on in the video, it doesn't always cut straight. The blade follows the grain of the wood and wanders off... but if you're cutting mostly solid materials with no grain, it should work great :)
멋져요❤❤❤
감사합니다(❁´◡`❁)
So this is where all the butterflies have gone…. UGH!
Ahhh 🦋💔
Beautiful...🦋
Thank you! 😊
Anyone else wondering how that kid got their shoe print stuck on the cieling in the first place? Did he fling his shoe up and it hit it?
you know what!! i think he must have done that to get the shoe print all the way up there :O
@@mminmakes that's really funny to imagine
Honestly, you are one of my favorite channels on RUclips. The way your videos are so soothing makes me feel weirdly safe, it's like listening to fairy tales in my childhood. Thank you so much for this channel and I'm looking forward to more videos in the future
Thank you so much, fairy tales in childhood is the vibe I will strive to capture from now on!!
You’re so talented!! Even my grandpa who’s an artist would be very proud and shocked by your art work!!
Ohh my grandpa is an artist too! Unfortunately the only thing he's shocked by is the amount of money I spend on art materials 😂
@@mminmakes lmao
I’ve been struggling with writer’s block for some time, and your video really honestly helped me! I like reading your thoughts while you’re working, and hearing your stories. That, and the quotes you used every so often. They really spoke to my heart. Thank you for posting this video! I hope someday the collector finds what he’s looking for.
You 🤝 Me Writer's Block Sometimes I think writing the subtitles is more difficult than making the entire miniature 😂 All the best with your writing 💕
There is something very satisfying about crushing the eggshells. My grandmother used to put crushed eggshells around her garden to stop the snails from eating all her plants and vegetables.
Oh that is smart, I must try that!
@@mminmakes They hate copper wire too. If you wrap it around your garden pots they don't crawl over it. 🙂
@@RetroRegan thanks for the tip!!
Oh my goodness. That is truly a labour of love. I adore all things miniature and have several dolls houses. But unfortunately I have never had the skill or steadiness of hand to create anything as exquisite as your creations. Truly awesome. I love your story telling and the calmness and tranquility of your videos. Your dining as a child brought back many memories for me. Especially of meals eaten in silence and not being allowed to start or leave the table until everyone else had. My youngest brother was a very slow eater and I would sometimes nudge him under the table with my foot to try to hurry him along. Until my father saw me once. I never dared do it again. And my brother is still a slow eater 😂
oh noooo not the baby brother keeping everyone at the table 😂 I laughed!! Nice to know he didn't let your nudging get to him hahaha. You're so lucky to have those dollhouses--I don't have space for any.
reading these comments as well as watching this video is making me cry. seeing everyone talking about their childhood and their happy memories is what makes me so unbelievably happy that we are on this earth. everyone has a story, and that is so beautiful to me.
literally my favourite genre is strangers' life stories under youtube videos <3 everyone does have a story!!
I'm so in love with this channel already. The build is amazing, but the commentary (is it commentary if it's written?) is lovely. I am relaxed. Also, roll-top desks are my favourite, so I was excited to see one!
Thank you so much! Roll-top desks are my favourite too :) Glad the commentary worked for you! Was debating between voiceover and subtitles, and written commentary seemed more relaxing (❁´◡`❁)
