Well in the wild they are basically living at 100% humidity. And they spend most of the time over the heat mat which will be dry substrate. I would say they are wrong or misinformed. I've never had a snake with scale rot and always done it this way. If the enclosure has enough ventilation then it will have no issues at all ☺️

I never keep it wet all the time. I don't know if you could see from the video but my Hatchlings that I was spraying down once the video ended, all the substrate was dry after 2 days, but I've never heard anyone say not to spray the bedding down. Unless you keep in a dedicated room where you can keep the ambient temperature perfect and humidity perfect then I can't think of any other way people would do it.

@@BeardyRoyals yea I think most of them are more pet owners who watch snake discovery as opposed to me who watched breeder videos. I got my BPs from Kinova. And it was on Reddit that this happened so I should have known then they were a certain way. Most of them were using a mixture of soil and other stuff as substrate when I told them all they would ever need was a breeder block of cocoblox or reptichip they also disagreed. Glad to know I wasn’t misinforming anyone.

I would imagine if the snake was constantly sitting on soaking wet bedding, then I guess it could lead to scale rot, but I can't say for definite as I've never had this issue. It's wet enough to raise the humidity to the desired amount but not swimming in water. I've been breeding for 4 years now and never had an issue ☺️ oh very nice ! What snakes did you get from him ? Justin has some real quality animals !

@@BeardyRoyals I have not either I’m only a year in but have not had any issues with shedding or scale rot but they did get me a little nervous about it.. I purchased a male Pastel OD YB Enchi Pied 100% het Lavender Albino. And a female Leopard YB Confusion Lavender Albino 100% het Pied

@@BeardyRoyals Most I have ever spent is £150 though that might change a little when I try to find a female with sunset in her .

£150 is a good amount, can get some great things and work into loads of nice recessives within that price range ! The most I've spent was on my ultramel pied male, but I love the ultramel projects so worth the investment 🙂

The tubs I use are really useful boxes, can find them in shops like Asda, b&m and places like that if your from the UK, but another good place is amazon, I get most of mine from there 😊

I use 9 ltr for hatchlings + grow ons, and then I use 24.5 and 33 ltr for bigger ones ☺️

Thanks mate 😊 the boxes I use are called white furz boxes. I find them at my local shops. It's basically a lunch box, and then I drill 2 small holes at the top at each end just to allow airflow 😊 hope this helps bud

That will be a great pairing ! I really like enchi in clown. Got a cinnamon enchi pastel clown female should be ready next season so looking forward to pairing her with cinnamon and enchi being allelic 😊

I'm hoping if I put him with the firefly girl it may make her finally go after 2 seasons 😂 il definitely keep updated on here what goes on with pairings etc. Give the channel a sub and hopefully next year il be cutting eggs from her 🤞🤞

Thanks so much for the comment ! I watch yours and Jared's videos all the time! I know you had a ultramel het pied clutch not long ago and the mojave ultramels you guys produced are stunning ! Definitely up for trades in the future, should have some nice clown and ultramel clutches this season. Going to make a video in the next few weeks with my pairings for this season 😊

They sounds like some awesome ultramel combos ! I've always liked the ultramel bamboo but never seen one for sale over here 😂 they do look amazing!

He is really cool. When I saw him I had to have him. I pulled the money out of my fund to fix my Camaro so now his name is Camaro lol. If you search sold animals on Morphmarket for his genes you can see him. He was from Brock Wagner.

@BeardyRoyals Just my one paring. A leopard pastel DH Ultramel Pied to a het ultramel. The eggs should hatch anyway now being that it's day 56. I'll post it on my channel here actually if you want to see my results. Good on this year's breeding season!

Definitely one of my favourites and in my opinion it's under rated too ! Such stunning contrast and colour.

100% mate, my favourite recessive with Clown coming in 2nd. I don't think ultramel gets the love it deserves 😂 might do a video soon showing all my other ultra stuff aswell so people can see them

They are the most amazing reptile you can get! So calm natured and a pleasure to be around. Take them to a petshop and let them hold one. That's how I convinced my mum and dad when I was a kid 😂

Yea my dad isn’t a problem. I actually took him to a reptile expo and he held some ball pythons my mom‘s a little bit different though.😂

Just gotta get your mum on side mate 😂 tell her she doesn't have to take care of it and you'll take full responsibility haha ! Your mum will come around to the idea I'm sure lol
