We're very excited to present our first episode! We're very grateful to those of you who watched our exclusive preview last month, and have taken your suggestions to heart. We've also learned that using a GoPro to record when it's windy may not be the best idea. Please do check us out on social media, and if you enjoyed this video drop us a like and maybe even subscribe. Music from bensound.com
These two definitely fucked in the back seat
As an owner I'd say the windnoise on the highway is a downside too lol, you can barely talk to people
I'm the original owner of an 87 GN. My power master system was replaced 4X, 2X under warranty and I've recently noticed the price has doubled. My tranny was rebuilt 3X under warranty and 2X on me with the last time I had the shit replaced all together. I've never power braked my car or dogged it in any way. I currently have approximately 165K with 2/3rds being highway miles and still going strong so far. My factory moonroof leaks but it will never see rain again if I can help it. With all that being said I love the car and will probably be buried in it.
Had a BMW 528i and left to try Lexus and Acura. I'm back to BMW via 428i. I feel once you own a BMW and drive it, the driving experience is like an addictive drug. I've been searching for a BMW driving experience outside BMW due to the high cost of ownership in German replacement parts but I can't find a comparable experience.
5:25 no, it's a 7.03 Liters or 7.0, NOT 7.4... 61 cubic inches in 1 Liter. 429÷61=7.0327 IDK what you're referring to with the "follow my channel" eye point, but you are DEFINITELY incorrect.
#5 never have I left a vehicle in neutral/drive ... That's just an airhead move lol
Is that Elvis driving 🚗
i’ve owned a 64 Cadillac for 22 years, convertible. I hear y’all on every one of your points I think they say it gets 8 miles to the gallon. Also the most unusual thing when you first touch the steering wheel is it feels like a little pencil but the car does cruise very well and like you said it’s like sitting on your sofa in your living room driving it thank you for your review
A5 sportback is a competitor
I have this car and you are right about the driving. It’s a 4 cylinder but powerful… I love my car I only wish my seats went up a little higher 🤣… oh and I have red interior so yea I love my vehicle
Lmfao what ever my other car's still crush Japanese tuners but oh well
The one and only downside to my 87 was second gear in the transmission only lasted about 20,000 miles so I had it rebuilt once under warrantee and a dozen times on my own. Yes I drove that many hard floor it from every light miles.
been driving 1964 cadillacs for 40 years now :)
Interior room vs infiniti q50?
you have no clue about real muscle cars of the 70s and 80s
No they do! They’re in the best GM muscle car of that era!
Most people add a scanmaster and the other four guages needed to these cars. Not hard guys.
wanted to watch this buy audio is unintelligible
I can't hear whaat????
A friend of mine had one. He had to have the engine rebuilt several times because apparently the boost was so high to get the power it was rated at, that it severely reduced the life of the engine. He finally sold it because he was tired of rebuilding it.
If the boost is high you either have to run alcohol/ methonal, e85, or racing fuel. E85 enter fuel system has to be adjusted. Race fuel available and cost. Alcohol you get more bang for your buck you have the initial cost of a alcohol pump system and cost of methonal alcohol. You can use rubbing alcohol. If not at high bost engine will be destroyed. Or you can just turn the boost down.
I had 200,000 miles on mine without an engine rebuild and I went to the dragstrip all the time. On the other hand I had multiple transmission rebuilds due to second gear wearing out.
Awesome show !!
it the man old man a mike. cant hear
Sounds like u need new springs and shocks if you bottom out
I have a 64 and when I replaced my shocks finally, found out they were not the regular size but the way larger commercial size. Say for a hearse. Alot more expensive too.
Is the mic outside of the car?
lol
I’m getting my 2016 428i GC iDrive (28k miles) delivered this Saturday! :-) Any additional tips that would help me have a good time in my daily driver would be greatly appreciated!
THESE GUYS ARE BITCHING ABOUT NOTHING WASTE OF TIME
A LOT OF MY FRIENDS HAD GRAND NATIONALS WITH NO PROBLEMS I WAS STUCK WITH MY SEXY RED CAMARO RS=THE GRAND NATIONAL IS THE CAR DARTH VADER WOULD DRIVE
14 to 16mpg when properly tuned. Replace the TH400 trans with a 700 (overdrive) and you get 19.
What a total waist of data watching this BS......you goons weren't even a thought in yor PaPas pants when that car was produced....also cars can be up graded....that is if you have a mechanical ability...guessing you don't,by looking at the adjustment of that tilt column.......
but how does one turn off the a/c compressor in a 2015 428i?
428 is the best bang for the buck. I’ve got a JB4 hooked up running E85 with downpipe. 362HP at the wheels. Very few 2 liter cars if any are doing anything close. At almost 200HP per liter I ask anyone to show me anything close to that performance. My buddy has a manual 2002 C5 Corvette and I can smoke him up to 80 all day. I do have Xdrive and my 8 speed auto shifts almost as fast as a PDK. I highly recommend getting Xdrive!!!! Overall the 428/435 are amazing sleepers!!! The mod community for these cars is enormous and in a pinch you can carry 4 people. I wasn’t even a BMW guy until I drove it. Try it, you might like it. Peace.
same here re the sound quality. Lasted only 2 mins
All series Cadillac for that vintage had a "P" lock out out requiring you to pull shifter inward towards you as well as a decent to move from reverse to drive, requiring a pull to enter low. As well, a vacuum-electric natural safety switch allowing start while in park and natural only as well as automatic parking brake release when entering forward or reverse gear. These switches slipped adjustment after years which effect back up lights too. An optional passenger side rear view mirror was available but hard to find. Gas mileage was 9.2 average. I still drive my mom's but use high grade gas for its 10.5:1 compression. With a 129.5" wheelbase and & under 30' turn circle it parked well compared to cars less it's size back then. (: high in its class power to weight ratio (340 bhp @ 4500 Lbs). 1st yr Turbo 400 & automatic climate control & Automatic lights off timer (Twilight-Sentinal)
Having driven a 3 series for over 13 years, and have been asked many times what it is with BMWs that make them appealing to me. I always say the same thing: BMW 'just do it right'. They drive better than just about everything else that's out there.
The video is excellent, but the audio is very bad! Didn't even finish three minutes of the video! Get a mic and do this video over!
steering and handling is vastly improved with a set of GTA 16 in wheels and low pro tires...same as GNX...then a zq8 steering box
Where in California are you from? I just bought my 1987 GN. Turbo Lou from Lake Forest is my mechanic.
I love my grand national. But all of my 80's cars have so much wind noise when driving. And the seat always feels like it should adjust backwards a couple more notches.
what?
lmao
When I saw the Berkeley sweat shirt, um...........next video
Great video! I just picked up my ‘64 SDV and I love it! You’re right about no blind spots.
The worst part about those cars is easily the paint. My mom bought one new in 86 and the paint began peeling about 2 years later
the actuator ball on the power master has fluid which is to be changed just like an oil change but no one knew that so after a while the fluid will come up from being dirty in the powermaster will fail
I'm partial to these 64 Sedan DeVilles and Fleetwoods especially since it got the more powerful 429 over the old less powerful 390 of previous years. Don't know why I prefer the Sedan DeVilles and Fleetwoods over the coupes and convertibles. They also have such clean, graceful styling! Thank God you saved it from becoming a chop top! To heavily modify these old cars is a sin!
I love those grounded 747s......
I fell asleep ! Your sideburns killed the video
RoBeLo TV hey he obviously loves Neil Young. Give him a break.
get a MIC. cannot watch only due to that! I think I would watch if the sounds wasn't so bad
I agree!!! THE AUDIO REALLY SUCKS!!!
Nice Grand National
I had the 2016 428i GC since May and I LOVE every single bit of it, I haven't noticed the top of the dash until you mentioned it and I agree some aspects need touch ups but damn, driving this beast to work everyday in traffic still puts a grin on my face! Performance is amazing even in Eco pro as you said, good review! :)
I own the 428i GC with xDrive. I have owned everything from a Buick Grand National to a GMC Denali. In fact, I'm picking up a Dodge Durango R/T next week. All that being said, my 428i GC is my favorite car to drive. The low center of gravity, evenly split front to rear weight ratio and it's Jekyll and Hyde personality when you select Sport and Sport+ over Eco and Comfort make it exciting to drive. I often forget that it's only a four cylinder twin turbo engine as its acceleration make it behave more like a HEMI V8! Throw in the fact that it has 3 split fold down rear seats, all wheel drive, hatchback hidden within sport coupe styling and the optional red leather seats and you have a super exotic car feel with all comforts, conveniences and practicalities need for most families. In fact, this is the car to buy if you don't want to give up a luxury, yet sporty car for an SUV or minivan when you have a family... makes me wonder why I would need the new Durango when I see myself typing this. I guess I'm looking for a muscle truck that can also haul the family. Either way, I'm refusing to compromise the thrill of driving completely for the sake of hauling kids and groceries. If you can't afford to have two cars, this is definitely the car to get.
+Fred Romero Personally I believe the Durango R/T is one of the single most underappreciated vehicles on the market. It just has that feeling of being just the right amount of OTT. It's loud, it's big, it's proud, and it has comfortable seating for seven, lovely leather interior, and surprising amounts of cargo space. I'd say it's the perfect machine for you if you like the GC but have big dogs and a few kids.
I personally am looking to purchase a new 428i by the end of the year. I currently have a 2014 328i (and I had a 2009 328i before that). The reason I want a 428i is because I don't think I'm ready for a 5 series but I definitely want a bit of an "upgrade" from a 3 series. I love the style of it and the way the back comes down on the GranCoupe. Great video!
+Chris Ogaz As I said, I think the 428 GC is the best car you can get for the money. That said I do prefer the steering feel of the 15 MY cars, so if you can find one left over, you'll get better driving feel and you'll definitely be able to get a killer deal on it.
