I was there !!!
Where did you got from ross pass? Looks like a long way to get out going straight. We were just there last week and we thought we were going to ride to alturus but decided against after riding from baum to atlanta the day prior.
Where do I sign up at.
How fare are you guys from Chico ca? I would like to take a trip out there
Lot of effort sure went into that video!
Thanks for the ride., I was sittin here driving and shifting my mouse,,, I remember part of that course we raced it in about 07 or so, #1499 from Oregon.
Great video but,,,man, WHAT in the heck is that SQUEAKING?
what camera was this shot on? It looks awesome
GoPro Hero 10. I prefer the leveling function with stabilization at 5k, but I'm having trouble with RUclips playback resolution when uploading at 5k.
@@ts39136 Thanks for the response. Whatever you're doing it's definitely working, the quality looks awesome.
@@upularFTW Thank you. This video above was shot at 5K with a leveling function on, I uploaded it raw. I have another video that is same trip, the same settings. It is blurry and RUclips seems to think 144p is a good default. I can't figure it out. ruclips.net/video/yqE-K59PjdQ/видео.htmlsi=d1ZWYmPB82AZau0k
Is this Ukraine?
No, United States of America.
That’s what happens when you plod big four strokes around all day spending more time idling or spinning up the rear than getting any air to the rads
Absolutely, @joski9030! Keeping those big four-strokes cool is a real challenge. Have you tried any specific mods or techniques to improve airflow to the radiators? Share your tips, would love to hear what works for you!
My dad installed a fan on his CRF 450 road legal supermoto for when he was at traffic lights idling for piece of mind that worked a treat think they do kits. Also simple temp sticker on the top of the rad or rad cap with integrated thermometer can let you know when to stop and have a drink let the bike cool down a bit.
@@joski9030 That is good life experience. Thanks for sharing.
@@ts39136 get a 450cc and sleeve it down to a 250cc so you have cooling of a 450cc + crank is only carrying half the load /lighter rods + pistons , will have way better cooling then a regular 250 or 450.
@@TheCraigy83 That's a fascinating idea, @TheCraigy83! Sleeving a 450cc down to 250cc for better cooling is clever. Wouldn't that make it feel like a heavier 250cc though? Anyone else tried this or have thoughts on handling and performance?
If that was a shift he was nowhere near the traps or at speed.
Sounds a bit like a lazy Top Fuel Motor. The revs are lower, but it's pulling gears and has to stay together a lot longer. Is it running a mix of alcohol & nitro?
Oh man this was fun to watch. Thank you for posting. It's classic, old time racing. And the camera not having stabilization makes it more fun to watch. RUclips will delete this comment in 6 months to support globalism.
Glad to know you are still out there. With the baja.
And: the blades get sold in 3 different strengths. Fine, middle and rough. Looks like you have a finer one
Would a course blade work better mate?
At the end of the text " let's go fast" How fast was that?
Pure Adventure is right! Nice ride man 🤙🏻
What state is this flowy stuff at? Awesome video, thanks for posting.
Love it. Trapped between storms. spring time in the Rockies. got caught in the rain twice this year.
That’s some cool single track
I'm not sure why it cut off the end... Really cool springtime meadows at 9k feet.
Call Mister Plow, thats my name, that name again is Mister Plow. 🤴🍍
Sounds pretty soupy lol. Good stuff.
It sure was.
Yes it is😢
I did 1/2 the Malad loop solo a couple weeks ago. Fun trail. The rocky hill climb was a little technical. At the 25 Mike mark I hit the 4 wheeler trail that drops you back down to parking area. Next year my goal is to do the full 60 miles.
Look me up. I'm game. We did the north loop then crossed back to parking, lost a few riders, then did the south loop. 78 miles total.
@@ts39136 the north section is the one I did. You do some fun rides I’ll have to keep in touch.
Weather and dirt look amazing man! Nice ride.
Love my silky. Just a tip. Silky’s are designed to cut on the pull back, not the push so you won’t accidentally snap the blade. So put the effort in the rip back and simply slide blade forward without cutting. Try it.
Will do. Thanks for the tip.
Great video. Looks like another fun trail.
Wow cool trail. What part of Idaho is this?
I believe this is "Kent's Canyon" near Malad.
That was cool. Had to be so much beautiful footage it was hard to cut any out. Nice video man
Beautiful ride
Thank you.
Great video!
Thank you.
The good stuff. Nice clips, great music.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ruh roh Raggy! Came in a little hot?
Just went up to tip top mine off bear creek really close to here! What a place
What trail is this ?
Not sure. It is along the Pequop mountain range in Nevada.
That looks like a fun spot.
Jul 1,2,3. You are welcome to join us.
Looks like you need to start carrying a chainsaw....
Very true. I have a dewalt cordless chainsaw that fits in a backpack. I use this to open trails close to home, but it's not easy to pack around. Someday I may do the fender mount. On this trip, though, we did manage to cut a lot of stuff with my 10" folding fiskars saw. After this trip, I ordered a Silky GomBoy Curve 300. It is the biggest folding saw that will fit in my Klim Arsenal vest.
You still happy with the 2 stroker? This seems like the natural habitat of an XR?
Yes, 300cc two stroke is lightweight, quiet, and has plenty of power.
Well done Tim. Very professional and epic content
Thank you.
Hi Tim! DustyMojave here. Cool little video. Our team (ORAF, AGS, Hardy, Lone Kid, Rueben Garcia, et al) took 2nd (with my son Warren shotgun), 3rd and 5th in 5/1600 at the Mint this year. Still have my Violent Phlegm shirt.
Hello Mr. Mojave. Sounds like a good race for you guys. This is definitely my favorite race to participate in. Maybe we can catch up on Fremont Street next year.
Music too irritating to endure. Might have been interesting stuff to see. 3:58 Adios.
should show how the burn chamber is made, and start up.
Holy crap Tim. Way to cheat death! Stickin it to the man!!
Hi Tim. Im a real boy!
a LONG TRAVEL BAJA WITH A 1915 OR LARGER WOULD WASTE THAT JEEP
I should add that my plenum had fallen off and my engine had been ingesting silt straight into the intake for 40 miles or so. Also, my shifter was packed in silt and I couldn't shift worth a darn. I did end up in first place for my class but the last 30 miles were earned.
Red solo cup Awsome song lol
thanks for posting Tim. It was a fun trip.
Not impressed
