Matt's Sheddy Things
Добавлен 29 апр 2020
Hopefully some useful information about the more practical side of things that aren't always shown in other videos.
I'm no expert on any of this, just giving something back from all the useful videos i've watched over the years.

Oil Free Compressor Reed Valve Replacement (Bambi DT/30)
Thought this would make interesting content for anyone who has a oil free compressor and it isn't charging as it should be. There are some sound issues in this but I am unable to re-shoot the video as the compressor has now been sold..

Makita LH1201FL Table Top Mitre Saw
Просмотров 201 тыс.2 года назад
Brief video demonstrating the Makita LH1201 table top mitre saw as I bought this to replace my sliding mitre saw so that I can make occasional cuts using the table feature without having to buy a dedicated table saw.

YiHua 937D and 939D+ Solder Stations Overview
Просмотров 25 тыс.4 года назад
Some basic but hopefully useful information on the 937D and 939D solder stations from an hobby user perspective.
jesus, i got sweaty watching this. it's been a year, you still got all your fingers man?
Yours is the only UK review on the ps-266 ,well done for that. Got mine this week to go with the ps-270 (0.2) and my Iwata Revolution CR3 . The back half of the Procon`s body fits onto the Revolution which of course gives it a needle limiter. The Procon Boy`s are a real quality discovery and the ps-270 is equal to my H&S Infinity 0.2 but less fussy with paint mixes.
The Bosch Professional GTM 12 JL - is much better
Bought a makita 1 040 (similar) miter mode is to high for tablesawing , To much compromise. the arrest is a oke.
Is it good for cutting metal abrasive wheel
Nice one, thanks
Great video though!!!
Whats with the rubbaaa gloves??
Anti cut gloves probably
The worst product of Makita.... I have and I am very disapointed!
4:18 hi! Great videos! When i lean the blade to 45' actualy is going to 43 max,do you now how to adjust it? Thanks
If ya need BOTH a table saw and miter saw GOOD idea takes up LESS Space for The home Boy builders out there, lol
Take my advice or not but please don't wear gloves running a table saw. I've seen it happen twice.
That’s great, please update once you have the new part 👍
Update Stripped the valve covers off and I've got One sheared Reed valve it's a 33mm bullnose by 13 ordered off eBay and just got to wait now. Thanks to you and your video Matt🎉
Matt Thankyou ! I have brought a Hyundai Oil free compressor it's my first compressor,But it only goes to 40 psi then runs continuously not getting to 7 bar so contacted Hyundai who have shrugged me off I'm left to try to fix myself It won't even get to 7 bar after 6 mins and I switch it off due to worry of overheating..This is what I need to try and replace / investigate 🙏👌
What kind of base frame do you use?
Just an unbranded mitre saw table that cost around £50 in the UK. What I did do after the video though was shorten the legs by about 100mm to make it a bit easier in table mode.
Dangerous
Probably 3 years to late but I can spot the problem right away, you have lead free solder, that stuff is much harder to use than traditional 60/40 solder. Worth buying a little sample of decent stuff and trying that it makes a big difference to how it flows.
The tips included with most Chinese "clone" soldering stations, and the bulk-pack tips sold direct from Asia, often have too large a center hole, leaving significant airspace between the ceramic heating rod and the inner wall of the tip. The heating element is usually around 3.85 to 3.9 mm but the cheap tips range from 4.15 to 4.4 mm inside diameter. Genuine Hakko tips measure about 4.05 mm, for a snug fit and improved heat transfer. Performance will be enhances with usage of name-brand tips. The other option would be to use high temperature, copper-bearing anti-seize compound to fill the gap between the heating element and the tip. Buying quality name brand tips makes more sense to me (about $7 from Hakko USA) as the metals they use will last longer than the cheap tips do, and transfer heat more efficiently.
@@goodun2974 I still think the solder used is bad quality, because its not flowing well, standard 60/40 or 63/37 solder with a good flux core would flow much more easily.
Ordered 939D+ before watching your video as my old small Weller just gave up the ghost after 15+ years. Nice overview of these two devices.
I like it it work Very good
I think that BOSCH GTM 12JL table saw is better and safer.
No. Makita version is better.
?Well done. Thanks for your review. Only review I've found on the PS-266. Making the purchase today.
Great video footage, sadly this is just not for me, looks way above dangerous for my liking.. Stick to a machine for one purpose 1 table saw and an additional sliding mitre saw, tread with caution with this all in one machine!
This machine looks like a mess.
bonjour , comment change ton la lame ?
Please learn how to securely use it, you will loose a finger someday
Your left hand should NEVER be up to or past the blade. Your left hand should be held back before the blade. PERIOD! Your push stick should NEVER be pushing on the waste side of the cut. Never! Period!
Just FYI for safety, you really should use the push stick on the side of the wood against the fence. That piece can fly back and hit you if you don't. You can see in the video that it did start to fly back.
Also you shouldn’t keep your fingers that close to the blade because if it does get kickback or bind up it can pull your fingers into the blade. There’s many sawstop videos of it happening on RUclips.
Where can I buy it?
I was looking for this hybrid tool years ago
good tool for flooring jobs
good demonstration
ShopSmith 2.0
Want!
Thx Matt! Great video, helps a lot while unpacking.
Well… no
危なくて見てられない
Сколько стоит в долларах???
Didn't know this tool existed
I don't like it because it don't look safe
I can't watch, looks like it's dangerous and won't do either job very well...
If this was available in 40v I'd buy it right now.
Ditto
Thanks for the video, but I have a question where can I buy this saw?
I have never seen anything like this. I cannot decide if it is brilliant or stupid. Seems like either way it would be dangerous.
Sold.🤠
Looks like a gimmick to me
Dumb
Copying Bosch. They did it first, still not impressed
@sergio rives Virutex is cousin with Bosch, if you did not know.
@sergio rives It was just a joke, what did you light up like that?
Not sold in us. Too stupid to use
Wow as a 35yr carpenter I am not impressed. Good video work but the tool will be problematic at best. These hybrid tools just dont cut it for the most part. I see a real dangerous combo there for anyone just getting into woodworking and would steer clear of this one. Learn the craft on dedicated tools would be my advice, your hands will thank you
Great point. It’s more of a toy than a tool.
Looks more like a marketing invention.
Why would it be dangerous?
Does it slide?
Yeah that thing looks dangerous. You are going to get a piece shot back at you because it binds at the fence
