Belly pan fits perfect on the 2022+ models, may interfere with aftermarket exhaust but just needs trimming if anything. Makes the bike look so much better!
Judging by the bike you're trying to ride you should steer well clear of high power bikes.
@@alexhoffam4170 k
Why give someone an R9 to review, who obviously, didn't read about the bikes specs? its not an MT09 with fairings, plus the days of screaming inline 4"s are gone due to the emissions regulations, the reason you can only buy an R6 for the track and why the R1 is about to follow suit is because Yamaha cannot meet those emission regulations with those four cylinder engines. Anyone who has been riding for longer then five minutes would know and understand this. its the same reason we lost road going two stroke bikes 30 plus years ago! Also if you actually rode the bike like it was designed to be ridden instead of whatever this video was you might have gotten something from it! A bad review from an inexperienced reviewer
@@Garage53NZ Never claimed to be a reviewer. Just wanted to talk about my thoughts on a bike that I'm not interested in. If you were so interested in it you'd have noticed that I'm not on an R9. 👍🏻
@@StuffwithNeon so the fact you’ve not ridden one makes you feel confident to pass judgment on it, you’re a clown
@@StuffwithNeon So lets get this right, your take on a bike that you've never ridden, and you're not even interested in, so why on earth do you think you are qualified to give an opinion then?? you're a clown and this video was a complete joke
@@Garage53NZ Because its his opinion? You're a moron. Its his review, and his thoughts. Welcome to his channel.
Bro... If BMW can still use their inline 6 diesels and petrols in their cars, Volvo and Audi with their 5cyl and others... Then Yamaha and other manufacturers could easily still use 4cyl in their bikes.
Nice bike bro! What’s your height and weight? I seen people’s 2025 go 61
Was bit disappointed you didn't open her up, would've been nice to hear some aggressive downshifting, maxing clock out etc etc :)
With all due respect bro this is 100% the take of an inexperienced new rider with little knowledge on the subject, when the R7 came out i knew the R9 would come as it only made since, ive patiently waited 3 years for this bike to come out as its the direct replacement for the R6, with the PERFECT powerplant, the 900 triple crossplane is a torque monster and one of the best sound motors ever made, also to say these sorts of things about MT’s without ever riding one is crazy, MT’s are the best Naked bikes you can buy, the power comfort, looks and sound is unparalleled, and you need to ride one, esspecially an MT-09, also, the R9 is not just an MT-09 with fairings, it shares the same motor, thats the only thing it shares, and it has a loaded sensor sweet, team yamaha switching from the R6 to the R9 this year in racing was by designc the R9 is exactly what its supposed to be and all the negative talk about it comes from people who dont know what it was made for and who didnt even know it was coming until it was announced. Your opinions on these bikes will 100% change as you ride for more years.
The R7 and R9 shouldn't be R's. That simple. If they named it TT or RS or something else, no one would care. The true high rev motor fans will never see an R7 or R9 like an R6 or R1.
@@MaddoxLyrics I thought I mentioned in my video that naked bikes aren't my style. I didn't say any MT model or the R9 would be a bad bike. Just that I'm not interested in them. Especially the riding position of the MTs. I've sat on MT bikes at the dealer. It's why I chose a Ninja 400 and not a Ninja 650. I prefer the sound of a 4cyl over a 3cyl or 2cyl. . I really want an R1 because it's one of the best sounding bikes there is to me. The R9 isn't a bad bike. It's just not one I want.
@@a124as First off, the R9 is not like the R7, the R7 truely is an MT-07 with fairings, but the R9 is an entirely new bike that only shares the motor and swingarm with the MT-09, everything else is new! Like brembo brakes! Which the R1 doesent even have, it has a new sportbike frame, which is the lightest frame ever built by yamaha, it has the R1 KYB suspension, it has the R1 triple tree, it has the R6 wheels, R1 dash, new winglets for downforce, and a complete sensor sweet of rider aids, this bike is 100% an R bike and 100% a sportbike, unlike the R7, the amount of misinformation and judgement about this bike is wrong.
@@StuffwithNeon Im just being straight up with you bro, your opinions and views will 100% change in a couple years, and if i can remember, i will pop back in here a couple years from now and ask you what you think about this bikes then and i guarantee they will change, its crazy that you dont like the naked bikes sitting position too when the Ninja 400 is closer to a naked position than a sportbike position, it just looks more like a sportbike put it has a more comfortable upright position, the R1 is very aggressive, hunched over and painful to ride, thats why my buddy got an MT10, but personally i would get an R1 and adjust the rearsets and clip ons to make it more comfortable, thats what ima do when i get the R9. Ride an R7, MT-07, MT-09 and your entire viewpoint will change

There were so many! Tuhhhtles!
I picked up a 2025 also now in the Grom group 😆 I love I'm currently only at 100 miles still breaking it in also thanks for the useful information 👍 🙂
Pizza Glenn. Yummy. I live in Warrensburg and just bought same model Grom. I’m loving upgrades and working on it.
We've got a small group down here of mostly groms. Eventually we'll ride up to Warrensburg. We went to Warsaw the other day.
I want a grom so badly lol
Just bought a CBR600RR lol
@@Scootertinnice I had a 09. So fun but when after 1000s I gotta have that POWAAAA.
@@2wheelsonly614 oh I bet but I came from an Indian scout bobber which was not the fastest thing on earth so I started smaller on the sport bike side
Absolutely a shame.. no more chrome, watch out for a nad gearbox,a bad clutch and the chain coming loose. Biyer beware
You must be blind. The silver piece that the foot pegs mount to is completely different!! So much so, that exhausts won't work on the 2025 model.
@@neipas09 as much as I appreciate the insult, it is you who are wrong. I own these two bikes in my video. I have looked them over. I went to my shed and looked again. They are the same rear sets on a 2022 and a 2025.
9 miles on it and doing a topspeed run?
My thoughts too
His key chain does say “fuck it”. I personally wouldn’t do that until after the “break in” period
His bike his money …. Hard break ins make more power . Just don’t redline them
My 2022 Honda Grom I did the same thing. It's now at over 6k miles.
Blaster x tail light for sure..
That one does look good. It's not integrated blinkers, is it? If it's just the taillight I might pick that up.

White 2024 Grom with gold forks is my favorite. Very similar vibes to my white 2015 Grom w/ gold forks.
@@jasper_of_puppets my next grom I'll probably get white. Groms just look good in white. Gold forks would be great. Gold wheels would add to it as well.
I think I like the 2022 better. I am considering to buy one, and I really like the popping colors. If I do buy one I will try to find other people in my country with relatively new Groms and then trade plastic panels for other colors to make it look even more silly 🤗❤ I live in an apartment, but I do have a small shed where I keep my Ruckus, dirtbike and elektric bicycle. But there is no room for a full size motorcycle so a Grom would allow me to lock it inside. And for wintertime my place is big enough that I can carry the Grom up and put it in my apartment. I would not want to drag a fullsize MC up and down the stairs twice a year 😂

I agree with you. Why anyone would want the neighbors knowing when you are coming and going by installing a loud exhaust. Plus you don't have all this buzzing noise when you go for a leisure drive.
I’m pretty sure people want to be louder cause if someone doesn’t see you they might hear you and be more cautious. It just depends if you care more about your safety or if a stranger might be annoyed for 40 seconds.
@@Supergh0stTVI don't really worry much about them just my ears constantly having that buzzing noise!
These are meant for putzing around in a yard. To dangerous to take on street. To low decreased visibility, not enough HP to get out of the way. I can pass this thing with no effort on my motorcycle, a car can run right through this.
@@JessicaSimonson1976 I've got over 5k miles on the street on my blue grom. Only thing I hit was a deer. Those miles will add up. If you're too scared to ride on the streets then that's fine.
These have been on the road for well over 10 years, mini motos as a class of small motorcycles have been on American streets since the 60s. Your concerns, while noted, haven’t panned out in reality. Even the smallest car will plow right through and over nearly any “big motorcycle”. Don’t kid yourself, physics still applies, even on a Sportster, Goldwing, doesn’t matter.
@@StuffwithNeon I ride a 450SS on the street. I have done track days. I have crashed at speeds of 60 mph in a turn on a track, (buried peg in pavement) in gear and walked away. I have ridden my motorcycle down hills with 60 ° grades. I rode dirt bikes and hit jumps putting me about 15' over the height of a telephone pole missed landing and crashed breaking the fork tube welds at frame. I use to open water skip snowmobiles....fear isn't in my vocabulary.
You in Clinton im about 2 hours away I just got a 25 blue

They are made with a flat seat and easily adjustable handlebars. They tried to make it fit as many people as possible!
@StuffwithNeon true, but I need the leg room and HP to haul me at highway speeds. ☺️ That's why I ride a GSXS1000GT+.
@@blandrooker6541 understandable. This is an in town bike. I don't take it anywhere higher than 55mph speed limit. Even that is sketchy. I have my Ninja 400 for out of town riding.
I’m fat too and I’ve owned 2 of them they will carry you everywhere and get great gas mileage to. And if you get bored you can trade it so easy
@@ronsmith7262 they hold value no matter how many miles you put on them. I'm a heavier rider too. They still go fast enough to have fun.
2023 for me

nice bikes, i do prefer the look of the 21-24 but i do agree the black forks are sweet
@@JayDoinkZ black forks definitely help. I think I'd like the 21-24 better if they didn't have the big washers. It's a love it or hate it thing.
2024 looks way better honestly 2025 is just cosmetically different.
I like both of them. I'm not sure which I prefer yet. My first bike was my 2022 so I can't hate that look. I like that they got rid of the big washers. The 2022 would be better without them.
I have the blue 22 as well . I love it ❤
I was so sad when I hit a deer on it. It was in good condition for 5k miles. It still looks good though. Can't beat that blue!
Nice bikes man, glad to see they ditched the break away fairings, was literally the first thing to break on my 22.

Thanks! I'm still learning how to edit. I'd be down to ride sometime. That'd be great.
The Grom I rode wouldn't even do the speed limit. My 1987 Honda moped is faster.
I hit 50-55 on this one with good conditions. It's an in town bike. I rarely take it over 45mph anymore.
@@StuffwithNeon I live 10 mi from a town. My Honda elite 150 does 70mph with a 300lb guy. If the Grom would cruise at 55 I'd be all over one.
@@140theguy I agree. The grom definitely isn't the bike for that. Any kind of wind or hill and you can't get to 55mph. Around a small town and some light off roading is where the grom shines.

I have a 14 st3 and kinda been thinking of trading it in or building her up Bone stock still...
I've done small things here and there. Finally gonna get a big turbo done. It all depends on what you want. I decided to keep it and mod it since I've wanted a car like it for so long. Now I'll save up and get something else to add to it. The ST is a fun car, especially for a daily.
Where is this?? Thanks for the video!
This is around Truman Lake in Missouri.
I feel exactly the same way about my 17 st3 focus st!!!!! Nothing ive ever driven has given me more spg! Great vid!
I haven't had a more reliable car that's been so much fun.
No unless you want awd.
I don't feel like awd would enhance the experience enough to trade in or spend money on getting it. It would be a welcome addition to this car though.
You could get an WRX or STI
