Gerber Sumo Clip Folding Knife, Another EDC Contender
Gerber Sumo Clip Folding Knife, from a company established in 1939 the Gerber Sumo is what I would call a over sized pocket knife. It comes in at a reasonable £45.00 and would be classed as a throwaway knife in the long term by myself, when you consider what you can pay for a top shelf blade in today's market the Sumo ticks all the boxes for daily use and more than capable of handling the any punishment you'd care to throw at it..

-Layered G10 scales
-Ceramic coated liners + barrels
-7Cr17MoV blade
-Pivot lock mechanism
-Lanyard hole
Materials:
-Material handle: G10

Size & Weight:
-Blade length: 3.86" - 9.8 cm

      Thanks my man! The 1301 is sweet! Because its a gas driven shotgun it cycles smoothly and I feel it has less recoil than any inertia driven gun such as the Benelli M2 which was my favorite race gun until I got my hands on this baby! • @GunnyRabbit
      @GunnyRabbit Год назад

      Yes, I have the Pro Lifter already installed and I would say it's a must.. I say a must, but it really depends on how your going to load the gun.. For dual and quad loading definitely get one.. It angles the lifter so the access to the port is open leaving a natural channel for you to place the cartridges when loading. Takes a bit of practice. The only drawback is at speed you can knock the lifter release and lock the lifter in place ejecting a loaded cartridge on to the lifter. The only way to correct this is to rack the gun loading the ejected cartridge freeing the lifter.

    Yeah i just picked this up. The 24" version. I picked this over the tactical version. I figured this is more practical for hunting, competition, skeet and overall fun. The tactical would be awesome for home defense but i have other firearms for that purpose. If you're in Britian, how do you get your hands on a semi auto shotty ? I lived in northern England for a couple years back in the mid 90's. I also served in US Special Operations and worked a little with SAS and 3rd Para Rgt. Good, solid dudes. They even said i could watch footy in their lounge room per their operations officer, "Bob", who i won a foot race with that led to a conversation about the 2006 world cup draw. LOL Good times... but then i got shot twice on Christmas and that was that for my military career.

    • @GunnyRabbit
      @GunnyRabbit Год назад

      Hey man! Thanks for commenting 👍 I do hope your fully recovered. Firearm laws are very strict in the UK.. You can apply for a shotgun certificate which would restrict you to a 3 shot only.. With this type of application the firearms division would have to show good reason for you not to be granted it.. For a shotgun with a higher capacity than 3 you have to apply for a Firearms certificate or FAC.. Under this circumstance you have to show very good reason to possess it.. Eg You are a member of a registered home office approved club, you attend that club and you shoot in registered competitions.. This is all taken note of as it will be checked on the renewal day of that slot on your licence and if you have not shown usage of that firearm it will be taken off you.. There are many more things that must be met to hold a Shotgun and Firearms licence.. Far more than what we can list here. We could talk about it for hours.

    You have overlooked the fact that these bore sighters are notoriously inaccurate--but just a little bit (usually)> To see how inaccurate your sighter is in any caliber, after you have locked your weapon in place, and gotten an initial 'zero' on your 'target', rotate the sighter in the barrel, and you will delineate a circle on the target that has as one point the original dot from the zeroing. The true 'zero' is the center of the circle delineated by the rotation of the bore sighter. Too bad I've never found a bore sighter that has actual windage and elevation adjustments like on the laser targeting systems I have on my long guns and many of my pistols.

    • @GunnyRabbit
      @GunnyRabbit 2 года назад

      Thank you.. What you have said is very true. I do mention that you would use a bore sight only to get you to a point and complete your zero at a range. One of the ranges I am a member at require a target hit with your first shot so this this serves its purpose for me in that aspect.. I certainly wouldn't use this to zero in my rifle before a competition.. In reality what can you truly expect for a piece of kit for £15.

      @@GunnyRabbit BTW: I prefer the newer green lasers, and the ones with the softer rubber (round) tips, which I coat with a tiny amount of gun oil to make them easier to insert and remove. Always keep hold of the barrel when broke. The butt is resting on your thigh, taking the weight. There fore no need to move your left hand to the stock. Basic safety. Snapping the breech to the lock position can damage the breech seal as well as putting unnecessary strain on the pivoting mechanism. Also noticeable is that you take the safety off, then your finger moves to the trigger as you move forward to lean on the bench top. Potentially dangerous. After the shot is taken continue to look through the scope at the target. Check out Si Pittaway vids.
