The peppers with cream are made with cream cheese, rubbed with a little butter and mixed with some fine chopped dill and green onion. Cut a bell pepper into slices following the curves, cut those slices in half in the middle and add cream cheese mix to each piece.

    • @MyEverydayProjects

      That sounds great! It's a very flexible dish, so if you have broth or a sauce you usually like, you can play with the ingredients. I like my food very well done, so by the time I finished cooking, most of the water evaporated and the flavors from the marinade stayed on the meat and potatoes.

    Why? Why do you put the husks in there?

    • @MyEverydayProjects
      @MyEverydayProjects 2 месяца назад

      The boiled husks subtly highlight the taste of the corn. Some people also add the silk of the corn to boil in the big pot, for extra flavor. Boiled corn will taste good even without the husks or silk. This version, with husks, is how I've been eating corn since I was a kid and we enjoyed it every time, so I shared my childhood recipe.

      It's better putting it the microwave. 4 minutes per ear with husk on. Cut the fat end of the ear off right where the corn starts. Then hold tip of the ear with a hot pad and squeeze like tube of toothpaste. Corn will completely come of the husk with the hairs. Taste is not all boiled out.

    95% of all corn in the USA is GMO so why eat polluted food ???

    • @MyEverydayProjects
      @MyEverydayProjects 2 месяца назад

      Recipes in general start once you have ingredients you trust for eating (corn or any other ingredient). This is not a video about eating polluted food, but if you have fresh corn from a reliable source, you can boil it this way or try any other recipe you like.

    Why bother removing the husks in the first place? In fact, leaving on while boiling makes it easier to remove later and the silk even falls off.

    • @MyEverydayProjects
      @MyEverydayProjects 2 месяца назад

      I prefer to remove the husks to see how the corn is inside, if it is good for boiling, if it has any bad parts I should remove. And to evaluate how much I need to boil it depending on the kernels. Also, since served hot, it's more comfortable to have it already cleaned and just add seasoning and eat, than to clean the husks while it's hot.
