On Tuesday 14th November, we had a whole school singing assembly where we sang Stormzy's "Blinded By Your Grace". Children have been learning the song in class for Black History Month, and we think it sounded great all together in this recording! With thanks to Muzaffer Baris at Barish Sound for recording this live for us.

For our Pride Week in June 2023, we all learnt the song We Are Family by Sister Sledge, and sang it together in assembly on the last day. We are all family at Coleridge!

During Black History Month 2022, we have been learning how music can give people a voice, to tell a story, to spread a message or to sing in protest. Here is the whole school singing "Something Inside So Strong" by Labbi Siffre, in our closing assembly before the October Half Term break.

Being able to use the breath is a good way of finding an anchor when storms arise in our lives or if we just need some steadying. Jane O’Rourke leads us through a short practice to help us find a resource that is always with us, our breath. Jane runs the counselling service at Coleridge and is a Yoga and Mindfulness teacher.

Jane is a Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and a Child Adolescent and Family Psychotherapist. She teaches Yoga4Trauma within the Trauma Service at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
