I hadn’t visited this album in quite a while - I’ve been on a different musical vibe -however; in response to a question posted on social media just a few minutes ago, I’ve ended up here. Despite it not being anywhere near the top of my mind, it was an almost immediate, seemingly, involuntary response to the following post: What’s your favourite song? I want to listen to it. The song, like the album, is an unquestionably personal album for Marc. That said, the way expresses vulnerability so openly, makes the song (the album) accessible, familiar if not relatable to a lot of people. Hopefully by my sharing, someone new will get turned onto Marc Ford’s incredible solo catalogue.

Wow Marc! What an awesome story..I love it. I didn't even know about the album...I was editing some my video descriptions & ran across one I caught of you in Texas with "Fuzz Machine" (lucky I was friends with Copeland & in the right place & time) It's funny how things come full circle. I was one of the early fan club members of the Crowes and they used to send me free tix when they were in Dallas area...first time I ever saw them, they opened up for Aerosmith. I never knew anything more than their lyrics really, just loved the sound & never knew who was a part of it. Gonna do some hunting for Burning Trees now tho. Been good seeing Elijah's work too. Hi Mark, I am glad to see that you are alive and well. You don't remember me but I met you briefly backstage at a Crowes concert in Knoxville, TN on the "Southern Harmony Tour". It was rather strange backstage, everyone was sitting at the table and the only one that would speak was Steve Gorman. Everyone else just sat and signed album flats. I had NO IDEA you were in the Crowes at this point but I recognized you from Burning Tree and I said "Cool, it's Mark from Burning Tree" and you smiled. I got the impression that you may have been surprised that someone knew who Burning Tree was. Still one of my favorite guitar oriented CD's. Glad you are living sober and living for The Lord these days, God Bless you brother!
